Finally something starts to move. I stayed with 2,25 IU and the last four nights the bg always went down with the nadir at +5 or +6. I like to see some yellow and blue in the sheet but unfortunately I also find it very scary. I can hardly sleep and stare at the freestyle reader. :nailbiting:

Strange though I don't see much movement during the day. Most of the time the bg stays very high. Any suggestions, why this might be the case?

One thing I still struggle with is the ear poking. Last night I tried to get a number because I know that the freestyle is a little higher but my girl was not cooperative. Poking itself worked but she was not patient enough to let me transfer the blood on the reader. I hope we will manage better in future.:cat:

Mid 100's is very safe numbers, even though her body seems to not like it and do a crazy bounce. Which is why she follows up with those high numbers. With time she'll get more used to those better numbers she saw last night and bounce less or not as high. And yes, many cats go lower at night. Maybe because they are nocturnal animals by nature?

When you do the ear poking, some people put the blood on a fingernail, then get the blood to the test strip from there. And yes, it just takes practice, for both of you. :bighug:

Thank you so much for the encouragement! To put the blood on the figernail is such a good idea, thank you! It is so frustrating to get enough blood but she shakes her head and the blood is all over the place but not on the reader. :banghead: I will try this!

Oh boy do I know how frustrating it is to have that drop and then he goes ahead and moves or goes to scratch and gone it is!! Not fun!!
