He ate at +7.5 so chances are there's food involved in that number will continue testing half hourly until at least +9.5

Nothing like a power outage to round out the evening. . .

There are times when it is a good idea to reduce even if the cat does not "earn" the reduction. Having to work too hard to keep numbers up is one consideration....hence the suggestion to keep notes on the SS, particularly when you feed HC. While I don't like suggesting unearned reductions, there are times when it makes sense to do that.
I was thinking the same.
I wanna say there were a few times during our wild ride down the dosing ladder that I was advised to reduced based on having to work hard to keep numbers up during the course of a cycle.
I got in the habit of putting regularly scheduled meals on the ss and I would squeeze the "feeding the numbers" info into the same cell as the BG number, that way I knew at a glance what extra I fed and when.

I can try to squeeze the HC into the ss squares but the problem with adding his regular food to the squares is that he's free fed. When I'm home I note when he eats his LC (in my notebook and I will get his ss updated - I'm about 2 weeks behind) but if it's while I'm at work or somewhere else I don't know when he's had it so I don't know how I could record that in the ss squares. I have just been noting his food intake in the comments section with the times I know and if I don't know when it was I've just recorded it as 'during the day' or during the night'.

Whatever works for you.
(I had a very captive audience with BK . I work from home and he is my shop cat ;-) )
Times like these it's good to know the extra feeding you had to do to keep him up.

Oh my, I've been gone a couple hours or more, and Vyktor is still surfing those greens! Way to go Vyktor. I'll stay tuned, Serryn. I guess you took the day off! Take care.

It's my night Ann but I sure will be taking tomorrow off, I thought I was tired after last nights efforts - I knew nothing about tired!

ETA: Bean is toast going to plan on shooting a half hour late (20 mins late from tonight because that was already 10 mins late) so I can maybe get an hours sleep now before getting up to remove food and test at -2 from tomorrows AMS

Serryn - spreadsheet solution for you.

Click cell where you need info
->Menu/Insert/Comment

A box will appear that will allow you to enter whatever info you need at the proper time. I delete the date/time that automatically appears as I don't need it. Just either tab or select another cell when you're finished. The cells with comments have small orange arrows in the upper right corners. When you hover over that cell, the whole comment will appear. You can edit the comments too. I have lots of them on KT's ssheet in my signature....

HUGS!

I do have experience with the free feeding, and want to tell you that Vyktor will learn to self feed when he feels his numbers going down--Try to watch the times you see him going to eat--Moonie usually eats at +1.5-+2, & later in the morning. By +3 if she starts droping & I see her not eating like today, I supplement by hand feeding her as I did ..It was at about +4 I saw she had lots of food in her plate, so I brought some over to her..She gobbled it up--Just too lazy & sleepy to go over there ohmygod_smile
So I guess you could say I do both. free feeding and feed the numbers..at times--
yesterday I was gone all day & she ate all her food, but the auto feeder battery was dead--OOOPPs Moonie sorry ohmygod_smile cat(2)_steam
Lovely lovely numbers for your boy--You are doing amazingly well!!
Hugs & Love from us!!
