Yuck!

It's probably just a coincidence since there was no sign it was losing potency but I used the old lantus cartridge last night (changed over on 03/11 PM) - just in case I didn't suck the last dose out of it this morning.

Kind of on the plus side I didn't bother setting an alarm last night because the writing was on the wall but oddly I am more tired this morning than when I get up in the night to test :?

Continuing to keep Katie in my thoughts, very pleased to see there is some hope this morning.

Re: 03/12 Vyktor AMPS 346

For whatever reason he's in the pink, I'm sure it won't last long. Sounds like you are becoming an adrenaline junkie.

Re: 03/12 Vyktor AMPS 346 +6 263 +11 83

I'm thinking perhaps it wasn't such a coincidence now   that or it was the shortest bounce in history, or maybe it just looks short because I didn't test and fill his ss up with stinkus

Re: 03/12 Vyktor AMPS 346 +6 263 +11 83

Morning Serryn, it looks like Vyktor had a pokie break, and look what he gave you in return :-D , a nice green, way to go! I know with this time change, it can mess us up. I actually feel better today, but I've already had two cups ~O) Have a good night and a nice Monday.

Re: 03/12 Vyktor AMPS 346 +6 263 +11 83 PMPS 67

Well I know I've earned a BOS award but once again I'm not sure if the S stands for steel or stupity. Clearly a dropping number (and I had just read Zeners condo) and our lowest ever PS but his insulin usually takes a while to kick in.

I was very close to doing a BCS but for some reason I had it in my head that as long as he was above 60 at PS I was going to shoot of course as soon as I did it nailbite_smile especially when he refused his after test treat - no worries though he did get into his regular food as soon as I put that down.

Looks like his little ears are going to get a work out tonight and I will get my adrenalin fix. Yes Linda I think you are right, I don't seem to be able to function properly without the adrenalin flowing anymore

Nice Hooting, Serryn!

Re: 03/12 Vyktor AMPS 346 +6 263 +11 83 PMPS 67

I would start with a test in 30 minutes from PMPS, just in case.

You could add Eyes Please to your Subject Line, if you are concerned.

Have a good evening  I would put the green smiley back up in your Subject Line, too

What a night for the internet to be cutting in and out ( delirious laughter  ) missed about getting a +0.5 but so far so good...

 back in place

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 Getting a little nervou

Give the boy a bit of food. I'd think about adding some HC to your LC. This is early in the cycle for that low of a number.

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 Getting a little nervou

He's just had a feed of LC, emptied his bowl so I gave a little more but I guess I don't want to fill him up just now in case we need to pull out the HC. What am I saying in case - his PMS probably hasn't even kicked in yet nailbite_smile Will test again in half an hour.

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 Getting a little nervou

He's finished the bit of LC I gave him (will calculate weights for you in a minute) will give a teaspoon of HC now, thanks Sienne

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 Getting a little nervou

He ate about half an ounce with his shot and then 1.5 ounces at +2. Plus a heaped tsp of his old favourite FF canned cereal - he was very happy to see that! +2.5 coming in ten minutes

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 +2.5 72

Thanks Sandy I was starting to think it should've been the stupid award afterall, you gave me my confidence back!

Looks like the food is doing it's job but I'm thinking I should still test again in half an hour rather than waiting an hour. Is that right or can his ears have a rest for an hour? Looks like it's going to be quite a night for his little ears!

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 +2.5 72

Until you see the numbers stabilize I'd test every 30 min. Remember, once the food wears off, numbers could drop.

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 +2.5 72

Righto will do. Should I let him have LC food if he wants it (might not be an issue since he had a decent feed at +2) or keep him food free to see what the numbers are doing without it and just give a teaspoon more of HC if he heads back down into the 50s again?

ETA: is stablise 2 tests in a row with no dropping and no food?

ETA: would that all be food or is a bounce on the way already or maybe it's the AMS wearing off while the PMS hasn't kicked in yet? I've probably answered my own question with all those possiblities - the answer is who knows

Will test again in half an hour...

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 +2.5 72 +3 85

Nice shootin'!!!

ECID, and EBID (every bean is different), too. With Trix, I generally don't HC unless she drops below 50. When she's in the 50s, I test more frequently, just to make sure she isn't still dropping. While HC is most definitely necessary, I try to keep it to a minimum, just so I can tell what are truly rising numbers VS what are HC-influenced rising numbers - and that better helps me know when she has levelled it off. But I've learned her patterns pretty well, so I know this works for her.

You guys are looking awesome!!

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 +2.5 72 +3 85 +3.5 79

I'm thinking this means he gets a rest for an hour but if no one confirms will test again in 30mins to be safe.

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 +2.5 72 +3 85 +3.5 79

Personally, I would test in an hour, but you have to do whatever you are comforable with.

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 +2.5 72 +3 85 +3.5 79

Hi Serryn,

Any updates? I'm just seeing this so I know it's too late....I would keep testing every 30 minutes since the +3.5 was HC influenced (within 2 hours), and it's early in the cycle.

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 +1 65 +2 52 +2.5 72 +3 85 +3.5 79 +

Thanks Amy and Laurie I missed you both before +4 arrived so tested anyway

He's just eaten 0.74 ounces of his usual LC food and this makes it 2 hours since his HC so I will leave him be for an hour now and get +5

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 1-65 2-52 2.5-72 3-85 3.5-79 4-76 5

We've only had such a long string of greens once before, so this is very exciting stuff but the adrenalin is wearing off as his numbers go up and MumBean is getting pretty tired - I don't think they're going to get my best work out of me tomorrow

Not sure if the 94 means the excitment is all but over but I will stay up for the +6 (midnight) if he doesn't eat again (he last ate at +10) between now and then. Hoping he doesn't because if he does I'm thinking I should set the alarm for 2am to test and then we have the regular 4am remove food and test followed by the 5.45am get up to test feed & shoot - they're definitely not going to get my best work out of me tomorrow

Thank you all for sharing our exciting night

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 1-65 2-52 2.5-72 3-85 3.5-79 4-76 5

They may not get your best work tomorrow, but we're watching some marvelous work now! Good job, both of you!

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 1-65 2-52 2.5-72 3-85 3.5-79 4-76 5

Way to go Vyktor & Serryn!!!  What a beautiful surf!

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 1-65 2-52 2.5-72 3-85 4-76 5-94 6-9

 He didn't eat yet so it looks like he does have those board shorts firmly in place and this bean is headed to bed for a whole four hours

Re: 03/12 Vyktor PMPS 67 1-65 2-52 2.5-72 3-85 4-76 5-94 6-9

I feel for you with the lack of sleep. I've been living that "nightmare" myself for a while now!!! I shot a 65 this morning which was "probably" a dropping number. I gave Champ his usually raw (which is close to 0% carbs) for breakfast, but I put a spoonful of MC on top so he would have something on board for when the insulin kicked in. He had a little bit of LC at +1 and +2 and then some MC at +4. Looks like you did a terrific job because Vyktor didn't soar at any point or dive either....stayed nice and safe. Good job!!
