WCR: All is well with Blackie. I increased her food slightly again to 43g both PS, and 33g +1; total amount/day = 5.4 oz.; total calories/day = 206.28.
DH mowed a bit yesterday, and when he was through with the area that he wanted to mow, he came in, and told me to get a bag. He had thought he had mowed over some moles, which are extremely troublesome, and they destroy the property (plus there's a mound under our house), but upon closer inspection, they're baby rabbits. Cottontails. Hidden in the weeds (we have weeds, not grass
). He covered them back up, and put a brick next to the nests so that he knows where they are. There are 2 nests. One of the nests has about 7 babies, a bit older than the other nest. The other nest has about 5 babies... I'd say that theyr'e about a few days old, give or take. We didn't touch them at all, and we're hoping that the mothers will come back and take care of them. I swear we should put a sign up welcoming all wildlife to our home... We've had skunks under the house... Neighborhood cats... I've seen a full grown rabbit eating the seeds that are on the ground under the bird feeders... We've had coyotes go trotting across our pasture... We've had raccoons... I've seen a squirrel in the only standing tree in our pasture...
Sending tons of healing vines, positive thoughts, and prayers to anyone who needs them, and I'll be saying a special prayer for Rebekah.
