Thanks for stopping by Rex's Condo. He is serving up some awesome Expresso Vivaco coffee! :)

We are hoping for some nice smooth lower blues or even upper greens today. Nothing crazy Rex!!!!

In class all day, but drove to school and will drive home for a poke!

The things we do for our cats! Nice flat low yellow/blue day for Rex. Maybe greens later?

Does Rex do delivery or do we have to do drive in for that coffee? :lol:

Hello Wendy,

Rex is a full service barista! He will hop on his Vespa and drive that right over.
He will even do it with one of his chirp/squeak purr. :lol: That is his service with a smile motto!

Oh - Rex has 3 main purrs.
1. Normal pur
2. Purr with a chirp
3. Purr with a chirp and also a squeak.

I think you should ask Rex to start brewing up a new batch of ~O) ~O)

Hopefully breaking up the meal will prevent too much of a dive.

Rex want to go deep lagoon diving at the end of his Nadir.

I am going to test again at +4.5(20 minutes) to see were he is at. He really is at the end of his Nadir.

Oh he loves this dose!!! I wondered when his +2 was down from PS...Gracie is going to send him an invite to her "Lil Stinka" club. :lol:

Hope you get some rest. You are a great dad for staying up to test, working, running home, etc.

Awesome - the 2 tsp worked.

So I am a little fuzzy - Do I need to get 2 - 30 minute increase tests or 2 - 1 hour increase test to know that Rex is on the up swing and not just a food spike?

Did you give him just the HC gravy or some food with the gravy? I find that the food with gravy lasts about 2 hours, at least for Neko. Since he is still in the 50's, I'd get another test in 30 minutes. You'd really like him to be in the 70's or 80's. Maybe give him a little bit of LC to encourage surfing. If's he's higher after the 30 minutes, you can go into sleep/test mode. I just set the phone for 60 minutes and try to sleep in between.

I gave Rex food AND gravy. Would you suggest just gravy next time?

I have some studying to take care of tonight. So I am up for another 2 hours. WooHoo :)

Since he's above 50, just feed LC. Save the HC for below 50. Since you fed HC at +4.5, the effects of it should wear off by +6.5. Any number after that is not influenced by HC and should tell you whether it's OK to hit the pillow.

ETA: Some people give just gravy, if they want to make sure the cat doesn't fill up. Last thing you want is a low cat that won't eat anymore.

I understand about filling up your cat! I will try just gravy next time.

So Just tested hime at +5.5 and he is at 70BG.

I have NOT given him any more food after the 2tsp HC food with gravy.

You could probably give him a little break for an hour. Or test in 3/4 hour and the one 3/4 hour later which would be +6.5. If you want to sleep after +6.5, as long as he is in good numbers you could always leave out some LC.

For us, filling up the cat is a theoretical concept only. I don't think it's possible with Neko. :lol:

Great idea - +75 and +75 will be the plan. And Rex is right there with Neko.

He always eats - he is such a good little eater! JUST NO TIKI CAT! No way man! Rex HATES it

Gave him 1.5 tsp LC Merrick CC. Will retest again at +7

So after 2 hours from giving Rex HC food AND gravy his numbers went down.

So will test again in 30 minutes at +7.5
