Good morning everyone. Nothing exciting here other than I think I'm continuing to learn and that I think he might still be bouncing. Correct me if I'm wrong.
He was fasted because we were out all day - first time seeing him in the green since we OD'd him. He's snacking now. We'll test for PMPS and will look for help on dosing then. Sometime in the next couple of hours.
Nice to meet Lyla from @Butters & Lyla this afternoon. Thank you for the spare insulin.
We have our first interested couple in Pookie! They've already got two cats, one of which has medical challenges, and they sound wonderful! They're reading the posts here and are going to take a day or two to think about it. In the mean time I'm going to be sending them photos and videos of Pookie in all his cuteness.
Pookie sounds like an awesome cat so they'd be lucky to have him. They will definitely get help on the board if they want it.
Paws are crossed here that it works out.
Remember to pick up food at +10 so we know what PMPS is without food influence. If you can, get a +11.5 and post...that will give us time and the ability to see where he is heading at PMPS (ie higher/lower/flat) and help guide you especially in case he is still lower than you are used to.
OK, he's still low, but heading upwards. The new potential owners are falling madly in love. We'll find out Friday whether they want him or not. At this point I absolutely do not want to risk hypo.
Okay time to make a decision. Do you feel comfy doing a token dose? do you have test strips and can monitor, and higher carb foods? @tiffmaxee if you’re around what do you think?
@tiffmaxee - yes to daylight savings and we're a half hour late for dosing, which I consider within the realm of variability. I will shoot 0.5 and do a test in two hours.
