Jax is also a terrible passengerSurf safely Jax! Do you give Jax anything for the car ride? Molly's a terrible passenger. With the camping season approaching my husband is dreading it.
we are new to traveling with the kitties but I had gaba on hand for temperament for the vet and discussed with my vet doing a dose for car trip so that's what we've been doing (he also said we could try valium but we haven't gone that route yet). On the way to the beach this past trip I decided to not use it and, my, it was a disaster lol - Jax tore apart his cage, had diarrhea when we arrived (thankfully not in the car but still...poor guy!). Benji, my civvie, doesn't get anything and sings a little bit but mostly is quiet. I've tried feliway, rescue remedy, etc. and those didn't seem to do anything for my boys.

Aww I bet you can talk to your vet and figure something out! They are used to these questions - or at least mine was! And depending on your vet, they may just prescribe the meds w/out an office visit (provided you have a history there).Molly is terrible she cries the whole time. Took her out of her carrier still cries and starts to pant. The last trip camping was the worst she cried and had diarrhea. We had to pull over and I had to clean her the best way I could. Good thing I carry baby wipes my husband was so upset we all were. I bought some of the Feliway but haven't tried it yet. I was hoping that would help but if Jax doesn't like it I doubt Molly will either. We even thought about putting her in her carrier and putting her in the RV. But we feel guilty if we did that. Once she's out of the truck and in the RV she's fine she loves camping![]()
