Today I'm pretty sure Butters's AMPS was lower this morning than in recent days because she may not have eaten a late night snack. I left her to fend for herself overnight.

TBH, I'm wondering if a mandatory late cycle snack is even necessary right now, given she has been consistently higher and quite flat on her current dose. I used to always make sure she ate because her numbers were unpredictable and she would drop late in the cycle. She doesn't need to eat for this reason anymore, though.

Soooo I think I'm going to try feeding her more in the earlier part of her cycles, and just leave a little food available for later, but not wake her up to make her eat. At least for a few nights on a trial basis.

Thanks for listening while I figured that out:joyful:.

Have a great day, all.

impressed that you left the af lid off.
not knowing the eating times would drive me to (additional) distraction.
Lol! You spreadsheet stalkers are hilarious:p:joyful:. I was so confused trying to figure out where I'd written that. I'm not making a habit of leaving the lid off... But last night was desperate times.

I'd only feed her late in the cycle at this point, if she needs it because of acid tummy. Her dose is too high otherwise to feed a late snack, unless you are just trying to prop up her numbers going into preshot.

She hasn't needed propping up for a couple of weeks now I think.

As for acid tummy....she does get it but doesn't vomit foam regularly. It was happening maybe every few weeks from what I remember. But also with the chronic pancreatitis, that was another reason why I would feed her later in the cycle even when numbers didn't warrant it. Argh. I'm unsure of what to do with her food in the second half of the cycle.

Perhaps if I feed her mostly in the first half of the cycle, and see how she does with a tiny snack, like 5 grams, around +7ish? Maybe that will be enough to ward off acid tummy and keep the pancreatitis at bay. But also, I don't want to ruin her numbers by feeding later in the cycle.
