Is there anything else I can help Micio to regain more strenght on his back legs?
He's been taking 5000mg B12 Methylcobalamin every day, he eats a lot and always hungry, his BG's are up and down but on a ok range (I think?): could unstable numbers be the cause of hind legs weakness?
He may have some arthritis due to age but don't think that's causing him to walk wobbly and sit down when urinating and, especially, when pooping. He can walk "ok" on carpet but on tiles his feet/legs just tend to go split, twist, go in different directions (don't know how else to describe it in english).
Lately I noticed his hind legs are very small and limpy, almost like they can't support the upper weight.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, tnx

He may also have arthritis due to acromegaly. Neko had a lot of bony growths along her spine, and also knees/elbows. It caused her to be careful walking and lying down. Especially on the wood floor. You might want to consider some area rugs for him to walk on. I also got her a memory foam bed that she loved. I also took her to an acupuncture vet that helped with her pain. And the vet also showed me how to do some exercises and acupressure with her.

There are other alternatives to help with arthritis. I'd talk to your vet about Adequan injections. I also had some additives I gave Neko, plus she went on buprenorphine for pain. That really made a difference too.

Micio's BG's are not at a level where neuropathy would be a big issue.

What is Micio's weight? Has he gained any weight in the last year?

I also noticed bumps along Micio's spine last year and told my old vet right the way, back then I didn't know he had diabetes and acromegaly but, even after that, vet didn't suggest anything and that's when I looked for a different vet Even my new vet doesn't seem to know much at all about acromegaly but I will call him and see if we can start him on Adequan and/or pain meds. My whole house is carpeted, tiles just in the kitchen and there is where he hangs around the most cause he's always looking forward for food. Even there I put down carpets and made a nice big memory foam cushion. Since last year he's change his habits a lot: doesn't play anymore, doesn't talk and recently he's laying down in weird places and positions....
What kind of addiitives were you giving your Neko? Beside meds and supplements (enzymes and pro/prebiotics...), I give him CBD oil twice a day.
Micio weights today was lb. 14.4, about 1/5 pound more then last year.
May have spoke to early about his bg's being ok....I gave him last pill of Clindamycin yesterday morning and, again, coincidentally his numbers started spiking up today :( If mouth infection will come back again I really don't know what other antibiotic or procedure can possibly be done, I think we tried all of them.

Buprenorphine got Neko playing again and interacting with us. Maybe CDB isn't enough? 1/5 a pound more isn't a lot, though not helpful for arthritis to be heavier. Neko had the same problem.

If giving Clindamycin, he absolutely should be on a probiotic - given a couple hours apart from the Clindamycin. It's nasty stuff on the GI, taking it myself. And Neko got it too after dentals. Other supplements I tried were fish oil, hyaluronic acid, Duralactin, MSM. Check with vet on Duralactin, can't give if calcium is high or reacts badly to dairy.

Being giving pro/prebiotics and Duralactin for a few years now, didn't know about not giving if calcium is high though. Micio's Calcium was 10.1 on last blood work in June, should I discontinue it? Also started with some Omega 3 lately but always had the impression Micio is somehow allergic to fish, I'll pay attention.

@Wendy&Neko may I ask for your help, please? Just out of the blue, Micio had a big drop in bg's today: from 181@ AMPS he's now down to 51@ +10.5. Will test again in 30 -40 minutes before feeding and shot time, but not comfortable to shoot if he's lower than 90 as I don't know I'll be home later on....If numbers are low, how many units should I shoot? Tnx

Oh, I am just seeing this. Have you talked to the vet about Adequan injections? You actually expressed yourself very well in English. I found that a lot of my older cats do much better with textured surfaces to walk on.

Yes, started Micio on Adequan tonight...really hope it'll help cause he seems in quite pain, I hear his bones clicking when he walks around and/or lays down. My whole house is carpeted (haven't switched to hardwood floors cause of the cats), but Micio likes to hang around the kitchen (because he's always waiting for food) and that's the only place (along with bathrooms) that has tiles but I have a few carpets and pillown down the floor though.
Thank you for asking

I hope it will help him. I also hope that you have some pain medication for him. Considering kidneys, Buprenorphine would be safe. ❤️ to Micio.
