Yeah we feed the curve, he feeds himself, he snacked from his dish after every test. The problem with Sly is he likes his dry food, and will only lick some wet if I offer extra. If I keep giving him more food, he will skyrocket second half of the cycle. And I'm trying to work within his calories for the day so he doesn't go back up to his pre diagnosis weight. Too fat!

This is why I check him every hour to nadir.
I also think he's still bouncing from the blue streaks and the dose increase is throwing him around. I think I stayed at 5 units too long.
 
I hope you didn't take my comment as criticism. I think you're doing a phenomenal job with Sly! :bighug: And the progress is definitely noticeable on the SS. I understand the balancing act. Bhooma @Bandit's Mom has told me (and on more than one occasion) that cats are sadists. And FD Kitties realllllllyyyy enjoy making us dance. :p

No! Not at all! I appreciate any and all input He's been a challenge!:joyful:

My last sugar cat was very unwell, but easy to initially regulate, because he loved wet food, so anytime he heard a can he was excited! Sly is like, where's the kibbles?? LOL

It's been hard between keeping his weight maintained, the food change, and getting him to a good dose!!
 
We just did fishy snack broth, and a Churu split between him and his roomies. Not sure Sly is impressed with Churu... The other 2 go around after hoping to find more...:)
