Can I ask whar carb % you feed him? I have been experimenting with different percentage, and the +1 is a good value to compare....

For breakfast he had some FF in Savoury Salmon pate and Ocean Whitefish & Tuna pate plus Cats in the Kitchen - Kitty Gone Wild. Which are 5, 4 and 1% respectively.

He then had a 100% meat freeze dried treat after the +1 test.

He usually has more salmon FF and La Isla Bonita CITK as both are lower on the phos side but he's so old and frail now that I've been mixing it up a bit for him so he has some variety before he goes over the rainbow.
 
And he's headed back down again. Hungry man! His belly was very audibly gurgling. I'll test and feed in another hour or so.

Thank you Suzanne! That's lovely. I've been very tired!! I still am unfortunately.
Gremlin is getting more and more tired. Slower and slower. Two days in a row now he has slept through his afternoon food which is unusual. I'm surprised I've had him this long still so he may surprise me again yet!
 
And up again...

He's also started drooling so I need to have his mouth checked AGAIN. Good thing he's due for a vet visit for bloods anyway. On and off he's begun to obsessively and fanatically lick things - himself, me, the chair he sleeps on until it's sopping wet. And he has started to occasionally howl at night again. That would be the cognitive disfunction declining.

I hope he will surprise you. He is such a fighter ... and so are you! I hope you and Grem can rest together this weekend!

Next time you can also mix your LC and HC to make MC. You just need to do a weighted average if you do this (for example: if your LC is 5% and your HC is 20%, you could give two teaspoons HC and 1 teaspoon LC to get 15% -- the math:bookworm:: ((1/3)*0.05)+((2/3)*0.2)=0.017+0.133=0.15...and multiply that by 100 and you get 15%. If you lower your HC amount, you'll lower the carb %. Just save this reading for when you are rested :p I am happy to help with the math if you need it - just tag me :bighug:
