Got woke up this morning at 4:20 to the sound of cats fighting. Outdoors. Being that we have an outdoor kitty named Shadow, I thought it was her and a stray fluffy gray/white cat. Nope. She looked fine (thank goodness). However, saw said gray/white kitty under the porch, which I quickly chased off. Fed Shadow her breffis. Later this morning, went out to the barn to feed my horse, and out of the barn came another kitty... Siamese-ish in markings, but a cream colored. And VERY pregnant. Thought that cat was a male, but apparently not. I'm guessing she was looking for a place to have her litter. NOT in my barn, thank you very much. I have enough cats roaming our property, and trying to mooch off of us for food. I have a total of 9 cats, and we certainly don't need anymore, no matter how much I love them. Started preparing my horse's food, happened to look up onto the hay pile, and saw the b/w male that hangs around our house, and tries to mooch. He looked a bit worse for wear. I talked to him, and he opened his eyes (guess he was napping), meowed, and came down off the pile. I checked him over (I've treated him for an infected foot), took my horse's brush that I use for her mane and tail, and brushed him. He looked better afterwards. I also gave him some warm water that my horse didn't finish off, and he drank a lot. He sat there in front of the barn, soaked up some early morning rays, and walked off. He'll be fine. I think the gray/white thought that he was the victor chasing off Mr. Mister (the b/w that I named as I don't know his true name.. He belongs to the neighbor next door that also own that pregnant female). I wish people around here were responsible enough to get their cats fixed.
MY WISH: For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.
