When I returned home from work, my house was silent. No kitties to come greet me at the door. Both of them were in bed sleeping.
I wish I knew where J.D.'s BG numbers went during the day. I can guess his nadir is at +12 and this is the lowest number of the day? He looked kind of haggard after he got up from bed, when I brought him out to test him, and shoot. We then went for an evening walk, and at the end, I was throwing cat treats outside for him (them) to chase (and eat), and I saw him keep putting one back leg out behind him and shaking it. Weird.
I called my Dad's house today, and found out from my Step Mom that my Dad has been in the hospital, and was told by my Dad not to tell the kids (and worry them).
He had surgery for a hernia in his stomach wall on 02/17, and was home recuperating, when he starting complaining of being short of breath, and he is now hospitalized with a clot in his lung. I was at work, when I called, and was in a mad/sad/shocked frame of mind while talking to her.
I called my Dad, when I got home from work, and he says he is going to be okay.

I'm sorry about your dad and the way you found out. Hope he's feeling better soon. Nice of J.D. to greet you with such a nice preshot number tonight. Hope he surprises you with some green.

Hey look, he's not rising to the roof :smile:
My kitties have been play fighting, and J.D. stopped and came over by me, and made the tiniest high pitched meow sound to me...such a sound coming from such a big boy.
I just spoke to my Dad for the 2nd time tonight, and he says he is a survivor and not to worry about him. He did say something about massive clot. I don't think he understands the medical jargon (neither do I), but, that made my eyes get big :shock:
He says when he gets home, he's going to have to go the hospital everyday for 6 months to get a blood draw. He lives out in the country. My Step Mom used to work for a doctor's office and I asked him if she could do it. I don't want him driving to the doctors office every day. Hopefully, he'll get a nurse or something.
J.D. is making those awful noises again, down in the basement. Gotta go.
So, I go look, and he's just standing there, looking normal... He does this awful noise thing after he beats up on his sis.
