WCR: All is well with Blackie.

Going to reschedule her suture removal for tomorrow as the roads are really bad here in Texas. I don't want to risk my life as well as hers in the truck ('94 Ford Ranger with no weight in the back). It's currently 17 degrees, with the wind chills at least below zero. It sleeted/rained all day yesterday. It's just nasty, and I'm not either going to drive in this, or will I subject her to the cold temperatures. We had a 20 degree temperature drop from this time (6:15 a.m.) yesterday. By noon we should be 22, and by 4:30 they're saying we should be 28. Oh, joy!!! Unfortunately, we can't reschedule DH's foot x-ray, and we'll be taking his car, which he will be driving. This is scheduled for 2:40 p.m. today, and we need to be there about 1/2 hour earlier to get the x-ray done. We'll be back in the 60's by this weekend again. Sheesh. I hope that everyone is safe, and warm, and if you don't have to go anywhere today, please don't. :YMHUG:

What a nice start for Blackie today. Surf well little one. What awful weather, and so cold! Good idea I think to reschedule Blackie's appt. a day delay won't matter that much, nice to think that it is time for those sutures to come out. Good luck with DH's appt, hope that goes well. Be safe, stay warm.

Blackie has been having nice numbers lately. I hope she slides down today. I don't blame you for rescheduling Blackie's appointment. Be careful going to DH's appointment this afternoon.

I didn't test her +1 as I knew she would've dropped. I'll get one tonight, and hopefully tomorrow morning. I'll leave her be for most of the day. Give her ears a rest.

I hope that everyone is staying safe, and warm. Currently the wind chill is about 3-4 (depending on the station you watch), and we'll only be up to 28 for highs. Winds will be dying down some, but will be coming from the north at 5-10 mph.

And that's your weather report from Kaufman, TX. :lol:

Boy, the nasty weather is hitting everyone. Good idea to put off her suture removal...it's not worth the risk. Stay safe for DHs appointment later today!

Hi guys .. pretty numbers for blackie! I totally agree, rescheduling her appt sounds like the best plan out there .. make sure you are very careful when going for your DH's foot x ray .. and stay warm! Have a great day!

Thanks, guys. We'll be heading out probably 1 to 1.5 hours ahead of DH's appointment time, just to be safe. His appointment is at 2:40 p.m. We do need to be there about 1/2 hour so that we can get his toe x-rayed.

WOW Blackie those are great numbers honey!

I hope the roads clear up a bit for you and that you have purchased one of those gorgeous winter hats that we up north always end up on fb wearing! :lol: Glad Blackie gets to stay home but sad you folks have to venture out. Please be careful of the other drivers.

Update on DH: The doctor's office called, and postponed the appointment until Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. When the lady called at 10:50 a.m., she said that she had just gotten in due to the bad roads. I won't be going with DH... DH will be heading from work to head straight there. I would meet him there if it was an earlier appointment, but since the doctor's office is a good 45 minutes away, and with rush hour traffic, there's no way I'd make it back in time to give Blackie her shot, and I'd rather do that anyway. He can deal with the rush hour traffic. :lol:
