Hellooooo from Ivana and I! It's been more than two months since I posted here - I could tell it was ages because the website had forgotten who I was and I had to log in again
Whoopsie!
Ivana is doing very well. Actually these past couple of weeks she's been doing exceptionally well, mainly because she's been eating like a champion. Not long ago she did go through a phase of not wanting to eat much while also hiding underneath the desk, vet gave her some meds for stomach issues and nausea, and she was back to normal within a day or so. Had us worried though let me tell you!
Hubby and I took Miss Ivana on holidays with us a few weeks ago - a week in a rural farm house (which is not too different from our real home come to think of it!). It was a 4hr car trip, but she was so well-behaved. Once she realised we weren't going to vet she just layed down and waited for us to arrive like a perfect passenger. Here's a pic of her on the first night of our holiday, snuggling between us on the lounge, taking the whole "I'm on holidays so I'm going to relax" thing very seriously
In other news, some of you may remember us adopting a beautiful little one-legged silkie chicken called Ellie. Well, it turns out that Ellie was actually Elvis, and sadly Elvis passed away about a month ago. We don't know why, it was very sudden - we got up one morning and he wasn't himself, so we whisked him off to the emergency vet and by the time we got there he needed to be on oxygen and was deteriorating fast. We gave him his wings (another set) still none the wiser about what actually happened, which was awful. Hubby in particular took his loss hard, as Elvis used to spend the day in his office for company when his colleague wasn't in. It was a very sad time for our household, and even Ivana misses his presence.
Not much else to report really, until Ivana's next quarterly vet visit in a few weeks. Fingers crossed she passes her tests!
Hope all kitties and beans are doing well!
