Good morning,

Here is yesterday. What a ride:

As you know I'm working with two vets, neither have experience with Cabergoline. One of the vets wondered if the dosing regime (EOD) might be revised. For example, two days on, one day off. This thought was based on what patterns might be discerned from Eddie's spreadsheet: the valleys and the mountains.

The vet thinks the Cabergoline is doing something...

@Wendy&Neko Do you (or anyone else) have any thoughts on this? Can't find information anywhere either way and the vets and I are in very unfamiliar territory.

The only experience here is with cabergoline every day, or every other day. I don't know of any research that has done other dosing schedules. Why don't you move to every day?

I think Eddie's peaks and valleys are called lower numbers followed by bounces. Cabergoline does not influence that at all.

I could certainly try every day. Are there any contraindications that you know of with Cabergoline?

They agree re: bounce but note that his really good numbers have come about with Cabergoline on board; hence it is doing "something". What that is, no one knows...

Cabergoline action is cumulative, not immediate on dosing. He also has bad days on cabergoline days, like 2/17, 2/19, 2/23. I've not seen anyone else on every other day cabergoline notice a pattern with dosing.

Cumulative: this is what they are unsure of (both vets here and at WSU). The cumulative question is posed because the cabergoline is engaged with the variations/fluctuations of the endocrine system (they say), which is why, especially when ECID, it is difficult to evaluate in Eddie.

Why don't you try reaching out to vets with experience in cabergoline, such as the Royal Vet Clinic, specifically their diabetes remission clinic? They've been responsive to my emails in the past. I've sure they'd love to hear Eddie's treatment story - he is unique!

That is a great idea!!! Thank you….
