Good Morning!!

I did get a 254 at +7.5 last night when I got up to feed him his pre-morning snack.
He was 305 at +11, and then zoomed to 358 by AMPS. Could it have anything to do with him hopping onto the coffee table and putting his head in the open bag of freeze dried salmon and then pointing his head straight up, so the treats fell in his mouth? He ended up falling off the coffee table with the bag still on his head, and then pointed his head in the air again to get some more treats.

He ate his breffis, and looking around now, both of my cats have disappeared. Probably btb :roll: lucky dogs cats :-D

He just dropped 145 points in an hour.
I have to leave in 30 minutes.
I just fed him 1/4 can of 8% Roasted Beef FF (his 2nd breffis).

J.D. = Jamie & Dyana. I named J.D. with the initials of my DBF and myself.

Looks like hes having a high before the low. Check again in an hour(+2) and see where hes at.

Dyana, I've done the whole Divebomb feeding strategy...it works. You may come home to some highish numbers, but...that sudden drop is not good when you're heading out the door.

When Esse has done this, I mix some HC and LC together, and leave out plenty - like two days' worth - of food. You may want to give that a try, seeing as you have to go to TBP in a few minutes. It will help, JD will eat, and you'll be able to get him through the rebound this weekend, o.k.?

I hate - HATE - those sudden drops...it's just not a fun thing to watch, especially when you've got a clock you're watching, too...just sucks. Hugs, Dyana...hugs.

I was supposed to get a ride to work in 5 minutes. They just called and said it will be about another hour before they get here.

I was going to write...watch, J.D. will be flat all weekend, just so that J.D has the opportunity to prove me wrong...

But, I tested again, recap:
+7.5 254
+11 305
AMPS 358 (fed 1/4 can of 3% FF, his normal 1st breffis)
+1 213 (that's a drop of 145 points in 1 hour! - fed 1/4 can of 8% FF)
+1.5 370 at 7:13am (and up 150 in 30 minutes)
397 at 7:15am (I thought it was the strips, so I opened another fresh box)
430 at 7:19 (and up another 60 points in 6 minutes)
I'm afraid to test again...... now I have an extra hour to see how high he goes...... if only I had caught the drop sooner :roll:

All his food is probably catching up with him now. I bet he evens out later, dont worry.

He was 460 at +2.5 when I left for work, so hopefully his rise has stopped by now.

He is on one heckuva ride!

I do have to say you gave me a giggle with the image of J.D. with the bag of treats on his head! George (GA) would get yogurt and ice cream (pint) containers stuck on his face. I thought it was hysterical. He wasn't entirely amused.

He seems to be feeling good. We went out for our walk this evening, he ate some of his dinner, but not all. He wants to go back outside, but it's dark out now, and too cold for me. He's sitting in the living room staring out at the night from the sliding glass door. I'm getting ready to vacuum, so he'll be hiding in the basement in a few minutes.
 
I almost forgot...IT'S THE WEEKEND!!!...so, I can give him some R.
He was 415 at +1, so I gave him 0.20 of R.
His fur is soft, and he seems fine. Hopefully, the R will break the RBC by tomorrow.
 
Dyana, glad you have your new work schedule with the real weekends. Hope J.D. cooperates with you the next few days. He sure knows how to ride that roller coaster.
