today recap: AMPS 178, +2 174, +6, 304, +11, 451, sigh.

Happy cat this morning! happy owner too. Thanx for putting up with my panicking yesterday. Nice blue start to the day. Rupert had a nice scratch on the stairs carpet, had half a tin of Merrick, is bright eyed and bushy tailed this morning. We had quite a windstorm last night.

I was expecting a hgher number this morning after last nights serious drop so was surprised to see the blue. I know you all told me to wait it out and of course you were right. lets hope for a nice blue day today. Sticking to the 1.5 dose.

Pip, that is a wonderful start to Rupert's day. You must be so happy, after what he was giving you yesterday. I was on the panic floor with you, waiting for my own boy to come down. I really felt your pain.
The folks on here are good calmer-downers, yes?? :-D

Nice start Rupert, now try and give mom a stress free day today. You can stress her out again tomorrow but she does need a break in between :lol:

Lookin' good this morning, Rupert! You too, Pip! You sound a lot better. One thing about FD: you've gotta roll with the punches. There are lots of variables and we can spend a lot of time trying to sort them out to "explain" why the numbers are this or that. But as Lisa (Do Lou) once said: the biggest variable is FD itself.

On that note I'll just say: enjoy Friday!

I believe I may have already loaned you those sexy yellow patience pants..might as well wear them for Friday night :-D

Hell get the hang of this. We may need to really have you work on some food mgmt to slow those drops which will help with the bounce.

someone mentioned yesterday about pre loading etc.etc so I did a bit of that today, I think it helped.. but maybe we did too much? who knows. will make sure he eats a bit right now, it;s about an hour to his shot time. course that will skew his PMPS number but I'll take that into account.
He's sitting here looking at me right now wondering where his snack is! Better meet his demands pronto! then off to clean the barn and feed the horses.

the animals eat a heckuva lot better than we do!!!

I wanted to know what his BG was before he ate again so I tested him at +11... darn it. 451

I think he and Checkers have a conspiracy going.

I won't do a PMPS, seems not worth it. will give the fat 1.5 as per usual

I would strongly advise you to ALWAYS get a pre-shot test. Just because your +11 is high doesn't mean your pre-shot won't be a dropping number.

Hey Pip, are you reading my diary? You're always asking the same question I have. Or in this case a comment.
I love that Sienne gives you the advice, instead of me, cause I should know better.
Just a couple days ago, I also thought, "why test at preshot, when I got a red number at +11".....but then remembered how Checks can drop a hundred points in an hour.
I don't know if Rupert dives like that.

Just keep reminding yourself that tomorrow's another day; another chance to get nicer ps numbers. Rupert will get over this bouncing, and he and Checks can play together on a lower floor. :-D
 
hi pip - just checking in on you and rupert! not sure if anyone's mentioned yet, but you want to not feed him within the 2 hours before his shots. punkin is sure he'll never be fed again, but i keep telling him he can survive 2 hours! :-D
