Well, Chaos has decided to visit the ugly red floor today. :sad: I guess this is payback for my ruining his nice green cycle yesterday. He's never been on the red floor before, so I'm kinda nervous. nailbite_smile It's only 421, not a high red, and I'm hoping to see pink in a couple hours. But still.... I don't like it. I hope there's nothing else going on and this is just a bounce from his green cycle yesterday. I didn't stay up to get many PM tests because I didn't think he would go very low, starting off pink and all.

Chaos is acting as usual, 3 P's in place so far and likely some litter box action soon. He's been more and more playful lately. It's like I've been getting him back in shape. Now, he follows me and gives me "that look" when he wants to play, and won't leave me alone until I toss Mousie around or get a game of Laser Dot going. He's starting to prefer Mousie and did a couple of good fetches for me last night. Obviously, I am really enjoying Chaos's renewed love for play. I giggle like a fool and run around after Mousie for him, looking like a complete idiot,I'm sure... but I'm a happy idiot, and that's all that matters. flip_cat

The temp agency said the web geeks are moving fast, so if I interview for them, it will most likely be very soon. Like possibly today. It would be a good gig in some ways, especially the drive. It would be a nice back roads drive through trees and national parks, not a half hour sitting still on Rt. 8 or I 76. To me (and my '85 el Camino), that makes a huge difference. So cross your fingers and paws for me!

Good morning guys .. sorry to see that chaos is up on the red floor this morning .. hopefully he comes down soon and like you said, he is still playing and having fun and that's important too ... I will keep all fingers and paws crossed in this house for the job you want .. have a great day guys!

I'm sure Chaos will clear this ugly bounce soon and you will see better numbers today.

Wiccan lore says brown, huh? Hmm... I'm not unfamiliar with Wicca, having had a Wiccan step-dad for a while. It couldn't hurt, of course. Unfortunately, I have nothing brown that is remotely interview-worthy. It's a pity, I look nice in brown (as opposed to yellow, which makes me look as if I expired 5 days ago and am about to reanimate).

Chaos is hanging out in the bathroom doorway as if he's waiting for someone to go in there so he can annoy them. He's so odd. confused_cat

Hi Violet & Chaos, Chaos, come off of that red floor. Your mamabean wants you in better numbers! (It is certainly a bounce.) It's really great that he is enjoying his play again and that you yourself are getting better acquainted with Mousie. Have fun today! And fingers and paws crossed that your job interview will go well, no matter what color you wear to it!

You know, Ella, Rusty may in fact be more employable than I am, the way things are going! He certainly is a handsome boy with a gorgeous coat.

But look at Chaos go!! I know it's a steep drop from 421 to 265 in only 3 hours, so I am going to keep an eye on him an keep testing. Looks like the insulin is working its magic for him. He's happily scarfing second breffist and generally being a good kitty. He brings me so much happiness on a daily basis. The only bad thing about getting a new job is that I won't be able to spend all day with him. If I suddenly find myself employed, I'll have to talk to some other LL beans who go to TBP every day and see how they manage their kitties.

The kitties who aren't feeling well and their beans are really on my mind today. I'm sending healing vines as hard as I can! :YMHUG:

You're right -- big drop! Hopefully, this will all flatten out. Chaos sounds like he's having fun and enjoying having you as his playmate.

Hope you get the desired job.. Wear a sapphire for positive job interview-a moonstone for new beginnings, and tiger eye for courage!--I just know you are a dynamic person, so go for it!!

Wow. Chaos is not coming down gently, it's more like he's rattling down a cliff in a Jeep! Woah, buddy! So I'm letting him have nice big helpings of LC to help slow him down. I like the lower numbers but I don't want him to keep dropping at this speed and develop too much momentum. He bugs me for food more insistently when he's dropping fast, so it's nice to know that he's telling me all about it before I even test him. Through testing and being so mindful of his behavior, I am getting to know him better than I ever have.

Between this test and his +3 we had another awesome round of Mousie Fetch. He is getting so good at it! :mrgreen: Hopefully I'll be able to get a video of this soon so I can show everybody.

What great numbers for Chaos, even if they are quickly coming! :) Fingers and paws crossed for the webgeek job! I'm sure you're going to do great, no matter what color you are wearing. Willie says to go with grey slacks and a white shirt, but I think that he is biased.... :lol: :lol:

I'm still figuring out this whole FD +mamabean at TBP business..... i'll be learning it all right along side you! :)

I'm happy to see that Chaos didn't stay on that red floor very long! Nice drop, Chaos! I'm hoping that the pmps is a good one also!
 
:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Yes, I think Willie is a bit biased about wardrobe, but it's a good outfit all the same. It's hard to find work clothes in my size, especially ones that have high enough necklines. I hate turtlenecks but I endure them for interviews so there's no chance they're focused on my ink instead of me. That's why I want the web geek job- they probably don't give a rat's behind what I look like and it's likely at least one of them is as tattooed as I am.

Chaos held steady between +4.5 and +6, so his steep decline seems to be over. He's had a long nappus this afternoon, probably because of all the playing earlier. We're about to have company for dinner and they're not people who are over here often, so we'll see how he does getting tested with them here. They're rather boisterous, so I'll have to mellow them out first I guess! :lol: Chaos is a good sport and my dinner guests are serious cat lovers, so everyone will get along just fine. Also, he will really want food by then since we're fasting for the last 2 hours of the cycle as always.

The menu? Spaghetti and veal parmesean meatballs in home-made sauce. The only thing I am not making from scratch is the pasta, and that's only because I don't have the pasta attachment for my Kitchen Aid yet. High carb, not for kitties!
