Whiskers is a bit high on her BG for AMPS. The vet hasn't called yet, to let us know what dose trilostane she should be on, and we are out in 3 days. I'm probably going to have to buy it again at the U of M, where it is more expensive. :YMSIGH: .

Cheryl, can you call the vet, to see if they can call a prescription in to a pharmacy for you?

Fingers and paws crossed that you can can get the script somewhere other than UM. Hoping that Miss Witty will stay stable and the litter box issues resolve soon. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

I hadn't heard from the vet all day, so I finally called him. I guess they were busy cause only 1/2 their staff showed up to work today, because of the snow storm.
Anyway I talked to him around 5:00pm, he said the results of the ATCH stim test came back and her cortisone levels are right where they should be. So we are staying at 10mg BID of Trilostane. There is a veterinary pharmacy called Roadrunner in Phoenix that ships thruout the US. They can't give me pricing until they recieve the prescription from the vet. I called them tonight and they said they haven't recieved it yet, so I hope to hear from them tomorrow. There is also a pharmacy here in MN called Compound Rx, I called and left them a message requesting pricing. I'm really hoping I can get pricing tomorrow, as we will only have 2 days of the medication left at that point, and if it shipped out of Phoenix, we will probably be in a bind. I need to get it from whichever pharmacy has the best pricing, as it was expensive from the U of M $122.00 for a one month supply @-) .

I feel stressed out and tired. Miss Witty seems just ok, she moves kinda slow and stays still a lot. She slept above my head on the pillow last night, I woke up once to hear her purring :-D . (maybe that is why I'm tired).

I will talk to the vet in a little over two weeks to discuss/decide on surgical removal of the tumor.

Hi Cheryl, and Whiskers. I truly am sorry that you are having such problems getting the script. How stressful it all must be. I do so hope that it all works out to where you can get the best pricing. Hang in there.

How wonderful that she pillow slept last night, even better when you woke up to hear her purring. It brings a smile to my face. I hope you guys have a great evening tonight. You are always in our thoughts.

Glad to hear the cortisol levels are where they should be. (((((Whiskers)))) I can't remember if its a human or veterinary drug. I wonder if a Canadian pharmacy is cheaper?

Hi Cheryl, Good news on the test and on the purring. And I hope that you will have good news tomorrow on the cost of the prescription. Hang in there and get some good sleep tonight.

Just let her be a cat.. sometimes we are hypersensitive & look at every lil move/non move based on the knowledge of the diagosis.. all in all, she seems to be.. just being a kitty. Embrace her, love her.. like you already are.

Thank you all so much for stopping in visiting our condo, and all the well wishes and prayers, they are very much appreciated.

The medication is a veterinary prescription, not human. I'm not sure if I could be gotten cheaper in Canada, or another country. I'll try a google search. Thank you.

Great news from the vet today. I hope you are able to get the meds quickly so you can continue her treatment. Also hope you get some rest.

Hi Cheryl,

Don't know what you are paying for the Trilostane. When I needed to get it I did a google search for Trilostane (Vetoryl Capsules-Dechra Veterinary) and ended up ordering from: http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html ... trilostane Had my prescription faxed in to them. There is no shipping fee. I did see it slightly cheaper at another site last weke but not worth changeing to the new site for the difference. They are very reliable and I order several boxes at a time.
It doesn't take long for the delivery.
