J.D. ate okay last night, and we went for a walk. He did go to bed before me, and I had to get him up this morning for testing.
I gave him some Pepcid at +11.5 and for the second time in three days, he threw up a half hour after getting the Pepcid. I did not give him more. Maybe I should try Zantac 75 for him. I'll ask the vet about that when we see her again in 11 days.

From last night:

Dyana, his HCT is good so the low RBC is confusing to me.When Tiffany was anemic her HCT dropped to 17% and that was when we had to start epogen. Now I would have used aranesp but this was 4 1/2 years ago. Did they test his stool for occult blood? The creatinine is pretty good and the other ones show that he is making red blood cells.His phosphorus is really good as well. I hope he eats well tonight.

I have it on my list to bring a stool sample with me, but his stools do not look black. What do you mean by "the other ones show that he is making red blood cells."? I am trying to learn about this. With the little I've read so far, I've learned that there is Regenerative or Non-Regenerative Anaemia, but I have to read more about that. I don't know what he has yet, and I don't know if the vet knows much about it

I did read that Famotidine (Pepcid AC) may cause anaemia in humans.

I just hope his next tests are better.

Off to go get him to eat some more. I fed him baby food beef with broth with a sprinkling like cinnamon on toast of FortiFlora this morning and he ate some of it.

Healing vines for JDs tummy. I have never tried Zantac. I hope the vet can give you some advice on it. Have a great day Dyana!

I thought 100s when I tested and I guess I silently wished.

Only half or maybe even less of the food I left out for the cats this morning was eaten when I returned home from work.

J.D. ate almost all of his 1/4 can of FF 1st Dinner. We went for a medium sized walk at +1 and he got his Orbax.
He has eaten pretty good so far tonight.

Off to bed, as I may need to wake up to test every so often tonight.
