Hi Pamela. I was just looking at your spreadsheets. I see that your kitty, Amethyst has been on Cabergoline for a looong time , and has other health conditions, of course. What has this been like for you and Pamela. Has the Cabergoline helped her Acro? I am trying to get my kitty, Darcy an Rx from my vet for Cabergoline. You probably have a lot to tell. I read through a lot of the notes and see that Amethyst has been through a lot.

Hi Suzanne YES My little girl is a tough survivor!!!! Our vet and myself firmly believe that the Cabergoline DOES help!! even tho Amethyst is at 40U a day I have been able to keep her in safe numbers Of course we could not be doing any of this without the help from DCIN and everyone here Everyone her is amazing ask any questions you like GOOD LUCK:):bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
I saw that you received help from DCIN. What kind of help have they been able to provide?

I hope to be able to start Cabergoline soon as well. At some point, I hope to be able to somehow round up enough money to get the SRT treatment for Darcy. In your case, is there any way you can tell if the Cabergoline has lessened any of the damage to Amethyst’s body caused by the Acromegaly?

THank you Suzanne:bighug::bighug::bighug: DCIN helps with Amethysts Insulin I am disabled on a very small income Amethyst would not be here with me and her brother JoJo if it were not for DCIN I have had a GOFUNDME on line for Amethysts SRT So many people hurting right now so no donations have come in Angel Memorial in Boston would be our go to place for her SRT They charge $10,000!!! and that does not include the pre and post appointments. So right now I am doing what I can to keep her happy,healthy and alive. The only thing that has changed since she was diagnosed with Acro is that she now snores. Praying that the Cabergoline continues to help and praying for a Financial Blessing:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Aaaw. I’m so glad they can help with insulin. It can get expensive can’t it? I’m trying to figure out what I can sell to get the money for Darcy’s SRT. It could take a while.
