J.D. was a purring loving kitty last night as I laid on the couch and he covered my face with his soft belly fur and wrapped his front legs around my head.
He only licked a bit of juice from the top of some FF so far, this morning. I syringed two very watery 10ml syringes of Max Cal Plus and gave him some cypro. He must be eating when I'm not looking much, because he gained a tiny bit of weight and he has been drinking water and peeing fine. Pooed fine, yesterday. I came home from my neighbor's house last night to find his head in the almost always untouched bowl of YAZC which I had added a few kibbles of EVO to. Then he ate some FF, while I was working on his latest lab results in his spreadsheet, which I still haven't finished.
Here are some: Almost all of the references ranges are changed, as the vet pointed out to me.

RBC: 5.95 7.12 - 11.46 M/uL (NEW) L
HGB: 10.0 10.3 - 16.2 g/dL (NEW) L

HCT: 34.9 28.2 - 52.7 % (NEW)
MCV: 59 39 - 56 fL (NEW) H
MCH: 16.8 12.5 - 16.5 pg (NEW) H

CREATININE: 2.3 0.9 - 2.5 mg/dL (NEW)
PHOSPHORUS: 4.7 2.9 - 6.3 mg/dL (NEW)
Urine Specific Gravity is 1.021

I hope everyone has a good day, and J.D. eats well and surfs fine.

Healing vines to all who need some.

Re: 02/19 J.D. AMPS 266

I hope J.D. slides down for you today. I don't know what the test results mean, but I hope someone who does comes along soon.

Re: 02/19 J.D. AMPS 266

I, too, don't know what the test results mean, and I wish I did. I hope that J.D. surfs nicely for you, also. I'll be sending you tons of wonderful appy vines for J.D. It sounds like he's starting to eat better and better each day. GO J.D.!!! Have a wonderful day, guys, and please be safe. :YMHUG:

Re: 02/19 J.D. AMPS 266

Hi guys .. aww, what a sweet boy to lay with his beanz last night! I'll continue sending the appy and poo vines J.D.'s way, though it sounds like he is doing better, with the weight gain and all .. have a great day guys!

J.D. was eating a bite here and there when I left the house to go to work.
When I came home almost all the left out food was eaten. J.D. ate most of his 1st Dinner (1/4 can FF Chicken & Liver), and we went for a really quick walk. Then he got his Orbax and we went for a much nicer (longer) walk. Ginger did not want to go.
J.D. again ate a bite here and a bite there since going outside at +1. I guess he ate enough during the day.
Came home to a sopping wet pee pad with a poo prezzie on top. He has peed all-the-way-inside-the-litter-box-on-the-gravel twice since I got home 2 and 1/2 hours ago, and he got nice "Good Boy!"s and treats. Now, to get him to do it when I'm not home.

Arm is still hurting, but I guess slowly getting better. I borrowed back the heating pad from my neighbor last night, and he added on a wrist brace (which I have had on for very very brief periods, as I can not type with it on). I have a doctor appointment for Saturday morning. The home owners association never returned my phone call. Never asked how I was, or offered to pay my doctor bill. This is not the home owners association I am a board member of. This is the other one (we have two).

J.D. has been getting one GNC Ultra Mega Multivitamin Plus for Senior Cats once a day for years. It says on the container to give two a day, so I guess I'll up it to two. Maybe it will help with his RBC. I an anxious about his next blood work tests in less than 2 weeks. Today, I called the vet and told them that instead of trying to save some money and just have the technician take J.D. into the back room to get the blood, that I will pay for another Office Visit and another Blood Pressure test on Monday March 3rd.

Well, it's getting to be ni~ni time. I will try to finish filling in the blood work results on my spreadsheet and then hit the hay.

Have a good night.

Dyana, his HCT is good so the low RBC is confusing to me.When Tiffany was anemic her HCT dropped to 17% and that was when we had to start epogen. Now I would have used aranesp but this was 4 1/2 years ago. Did they test his stool for occult blood? The creatinine is pretty good and the other ones show that he is making red blood cells. His phosphorus is really good as well. I hope he eats well tonight.

Elise

Sending prayers for J.D. to keep his food down and for a good appetite. Oh, I see the reference ranges have been changed for cats. What areas are you concerned about?
