Turns out bounce part two was just around the corner but of course not until the middle of the night! I can't believe how grateful I was to get about 3 1/2 hours of consecutive sleep. I still feel like I've been runover by a steam roller face first into a pile of sand though. Had a little trouble measuring his dose this morning because my eyes wouldn't work, my up close vision is usually excellent but I had to get the torch onto it this morning

Tried for a little more sleep after his +10 at 4am but just as I was drifting off the smoke detector started going off :YMSIGH: Going to try for a little btb now I might just be tired enough for it to happen...

Recap:
304 AMPS
185 +6
77 +10
79 +11
83 PMPS
112 +2
149 +4
313 +6
394 +10

Re: 02/18 Vyktor AMPS 353

I've got that "steam roller" feelin' going on tonight myself. I hope you were able to catch up on some Zzzzs!

OK, Vyktor...come on down!!!

Re: 02/18 Vyktor AMPS 353 +5 284

It worked, first time ever I've been btb and slept! It was only an hour and quite a strange sleep with some horrible dreams but at least my eyes are working again now :-D

Celi those baby bunnies are just too adorable, when will technology advance enough so we that can reach through the computer and touch things, I want to cuddle them so badly.

that was a most descriptive description (great vocabulary, you can see) of your morning! sounds like a nightmare all right! face down in sand? yuck!

i seldom can fall back asleep either, at least not til i've been up for a couple of hours. i can appreciate how delightful it must've felt when you got to go back to bed. sweeeeettttt.

have a wonderful day, serryn!

Re: 02/18 Vyktor AMPS 353 +5 284 +7 247

I had to think for a moment when you said you took a torch to the syringe, and a bit later the smoke detector went off. I hope you have a lovely day, Serryn, and Vyktor continues his descent into more likeable numbers.

Re: 02/18 Vyktor AMPS 353 +5 284 +7 247

oops I forgot, I think you guys call them flashlights but in case anyone's wondering, no I didn't use anything involving flames and the house didn't burn down. Not sure what the smoke detectors problem was. It's been pretty smokey around here for the last week or so because of bushfires but by yesterday it had started clearing. If it was because of the bushfire smoke and it took a week to go off I'm going to be in a bit of trouble if there is a fire here

   Yep, we call them flashlights. I hope Vyktor (and the smoke detector!) let you sleep tonight!! I-)

Re: 02/18 Vyktor AMPS 353 +5 284 +7 247 +10 256 PMPS 194

I hope I did the right thing by shooting. The decrease at PMPS was unexpected but I figured it was high enough not to worry about it having dropped since +10. Of course as soon as I shot I started getting paranoid that I shouldn't have :YMSIGH:

Vyktor hasn't been a real happy boy today, he's spent most of the day in the cupboard. He went out for a while this morning but other than that he's just come out of the cupboard for food. He has also been yowling in complaint many of the times when he stands up.

I'm not sure if it's arthritis or the masses of dreadlocks around his hip area. Vet visit for a dental is happening next Friday at which time I was planning to ask them to cut the dreadlocks from his hips, he won't let me near them so it will need to be done while he's under. I'm wondering if I should ask them to xray his hips and back legs while he's there too. I don't know, is it better to keep him under one anaesthetic for a longer period or should those xrays be done separately at a later date if the haircut doesn't fix him?

Re: 02/18 Vyktor AMPS 353 +5 284 +7 247 +10 256 PMPS 194

I would wonder if the dreads are what's causing Vyktor to complain. I know they can be pretty painful, and if they're tugging when he's standing, I could see a yowl or two. Poor little guy! I know what you're going through...I've got 2 long haired kitties that constantly develop knots. My one that looks like Vyktor likes to stick is neck under the water flow of the fountain, so his "bib" is constantly knotted.

I'm not sure about the x-ray question, though.

You did great with shooting - you're a pro at managing low numbers if you need to.

Have a great evening!!!

I think shooting was fine Serryn.

I hope the haircut helps him. I don't know about the xrays for the hips, or if they'll do them the same time as the dental.
I do know about btb, and dreams. I never every used to sleep in, go btb, or take naps, until FD.

I hope you have a good night.

Re: 02/18 Vyktor PMPS 194 +2 135 +4 83

This morning:

AMPS 353
+5 284
+7 247
+10 256

Looks like the Vyktor steamroller will be in action again tonight...

Going to try and get a half hour of sleep now until the +5, not game enough to sleep until +6

Re: 02/18 Vyktor PMPS 194 +2 135 +4 83

Look at that Vyktor!! Green!! Poor Serryn, Hope you get some sleep soon!
What a nice number though!
I used to groom cats & dogs in college and the knots keep going down to the skin & then start to hurt--
Hope they will get them off easily, Moonie goes ballistic over any area of her body I get interested in for a quick inspection!! cat(2)_steam
Xrays Couldnt Hurt!! Get them if you can!
Have a good sleepus and hope you get that soon!'
Hugs & love from us!

Do the consistent numbers mean he's surfing and it's safe to go to bed now or could he still do a little dive into HC territory? He did eat some LC at +4.5 (about 15g/0.5oz ) and again at +5.25, about (30g/1oz )

Re: 02/18 Vyktor PMPS 194 +2 135 +4 83 +5 76 +6 76

HI Serryn, no advice from me, but wanted to comment on how beautifully Vyktor is doing today/tonight.
I just looked at his profile. How nice that he travels well. Checkers complains the whole way to the vet...all 15 minutes  , but knows when he is coming home and rests quietly.

Meg is beautiful. Does she have run of the yard? I see why you'd worry about hawks. Around here, folks have to be careful of coyotes. They've been rumored to attack small dogs.

Re: 02/18 Vyktor PMPS 194 +2 135 +4 83 +5 76 +6 76

Vyktor saves his complaining until he gets to the vet at which time he turns into a complete psychopuss.

Meg has half a house including her special room which is full of hay and carboard tunnels and such like for her. She has access to Vyktor's half of the house when I'm home but I close the door between them when I'm out, they're not friends and at times are distinctly unfriendly with each other.

She goes outside to run free everyday but only while I'm out supervising. She got severely ripped off today, she only got 20 mins this morning before I pulled a btb and then when I offered this afternoon she wasn't ready and by the time she was ready I was too busy with Vyktor. She's been ripped off a bit lately, since the hawk incident I'm not happy to leave her alone for even 5 mins while I do a test or a shot for Vyktor  I generally aim for a minimum of an hour a day during the week and two hours on weekend days but prior to the hawk incident she was probably averaging 2 hrs during the week and 4 hrs on weekends.

He's just eaten about another 20g -3/4 oz at +7.25 so I think it's safe for me to head to bed until +9. I hope it is I'm a bit delerious from lack of sleep so I hope I'm thinking straight.

Hi Serryn, I know how you feel. Daphne pulled a 48 on me when I got up (not by myself, w/alarm, or else I would have slept for 5 more hours, even though DH did the AMPS and +3). I'm so deprived of sleep these days, and I also know what you mean with the eye sight, my eye's do the same thing.

My vet just did a feel of her legs and she knew Daphne has a little arthritis and didn't think an x-ray was needed. I'm not thrilled with this vet, so I wouldn't necessarily go with that advice.

Good luck tonight with the sleep

what a beautiful surf for Vyktor today. I'm glad someone is keeping Rusty company at the Lagoon.

I'd see what your vet has to say about how long it would take for the extra x-ray. If it would be quick and simple to do I'd do it. The fewer times they have to be put under the better.
