Good morning, everyone!

Woooo-ee! We are having a heat wave! Temperatures in the 40's, people, time to get out my bikini! Truth be told, I ran some errands in a single long sleeve shirt and a hoodie in yesterday's 45 degree sunshine and loved every second of it. :-D I am growing tired of winter and craving the outdoors in a big way.

Chaos has started the day off nicely with a 252, and I am hoping that, like yesterday's cycles, we will see blue or even green this time. He had a 117 at +3.5 last night so it's possible he saw green. Yay, Chaos! He was as usual today, happy to see his mama bean and go through the whole morning ritual. I started him on 1.75u last night and we will see where that takes us. Chaos is always a member of the clean plate club and this morning is no different. After breffist and some LB action, he is camped outside the bedroom door waiting for DH to get up. Ever since we took the bamboo mat out of the carpeted hallway, Chaos is often camped out there. It must be a texture thing, I don't think he likes bamboo mats. "Softer, please, mama!". He chooses the weirdest spots to hang out.

Today looks like an exceptionally boring day for me, nothing planned, no cakes on order. I know that if I were a good bean, I would use this big blank day as an opportunity to clean the house, but am I a good bean? Only time will tell! The fact that I have a rather good book half-read doesn't bode well for the "good bean" plan.

Good morning guys ... we are also having a heat wave and I am loving it too! I cracked a window yesterday to let out some of these sick germs hanging out in here ... Glad to hear chaos is doing so well and I hope you also see blues or greens today .. Have a great day guys!

Love the pic of Chaos so cute :-D its warm here too yesterday took a walk in only a hoodie as well it was soo great I know this warm snap will not last but I am enjoying it so much cannot wait till spring. Hope you have a good day whatever you do be cleaning or finishing the book I am reading the cat series by Erin Hunter right now Warriors Power of 3 "The Outcast" 3rd in this series her first series is just titled " The Warriors" its a kids series but to me they are so much fun to read all about cats having adventures ;-)

No cleaning today. That can wait until weather is bad again...tomorrow :lol:
I got new book from library yesterday, and might do the same, next to a cracked open window. In the 50's today . Yippee!

The picture is adorable. Thanks for giving me a smile as I get ready to have a crazy day at work. I think you should just relax and read your book today. Don't worry about the house. My feeling is that unless people are coming over, the house can just wait. Great start for Chaos! Warmer weather must be all over the US today -- we are going up into the 70's!!

Hope Chaos gives you a nice string of numbers today and you enjoy the warm weather. Ours isn't supposed to last long, hope that's not the case for you

It's even supposed to be above freezing here today (in the 40s, they say!). Enjoy your open windows and your book. Great pic of Chaos in the box!!

As for Chaos, this is not what I had in mind. He's 297 at +3 ohmygod_smile We did have a really great play session after breffist this morning. I had to run around the house after him and then throw his mouse and retrieve it from under the fridge/entertainment center/stove... good times with my little buddy.


The photo is Chaos stuffing himself into my undies bin. This is before the bedroom became a cat-free zone. I eventually made lids for the bins, which I should have done to begin with... DH predicted the "furry undies invasion" the moment the bins were purchased. Extra laundry was done that day. :lol: It was too funny for me to be mad.
 
Too cute on the photo - amazing what they will cram themselves into. :-D Funny too on the bamboo mat - we had one similar as an outdoor mat, and had to remove it. nice of the cats liked it, refuse to walk on it, such havoc it caused when they wanted to come inside. sheshhhhh. :lol:

i vote for the book - much better than the cleaning thing. :lol:

It is so nice to see Chaos posting such great numbers - looking good. loved the blue and probable green yesterday. GO CHAOS!
 
Wow, Chaos is a playful kitty today! We've had several games of Laser Dot, chase-the-kitty, Staring Contest, Mouse, and he's been pronking and trotting around the house like a deranged antelope! :lol: :lol: Obviously he does not care what his BG number is!

Windows open, fresh breeze blowing through the house... it's indescribable! I haven't been outside in nice weather (and I so loooove being outside) since my surgery last October so this is really something special for me! :-D Chaos is stalking the propped-open doorways, sniffing the wind. He might even venture out on the porch. Civvie Lu is perking up too... what a wonderful day!

I hope you other beans and kitties experiencing this warm weather are enjoying it as much as I am, and that it has a healing influence on all the kitties who aren't doing so well.

Wow windows open today? I couldn't pry ours open with a crowbar. They are all frozen shut. And they'll stay closed darnit brrrrr.

At least with the laser you don't have to go getting them out from under the stove LOL.
