Vyktor's liver is in overdrive after yesterday's string of green. I'm getting the hang of handling the bounce mentally though, not only am I not all depressed about it but I'm finding his ravenous hunger rather cute :-D

The falcon's ravenous hunger I'm not finding so cute! My heart is still racing from yesterday's attack on Meg rabbit. The falcon comes around my yard on it's hunting circle every couple of months. My yard has traditionally been a great place for it to stop for a feed because usually there are so many doves. No more chicken babies means no food pellets everywhere and no more doves so I guess Meg was looking like a pretty tasty meal, so lucky that she spied him before he grabbed her @-)

Re: 02/13 Vyktor AMPS 328

Good morning, Serryn! Oh wow on both the green surf yesterday and the rabbit attack!! :o Glad she is OK. Hope today is a little less interesting for you! ;-) Vyktor, come on down slowly. Mr Liver, you have done your job, but everything is OK!

Re: 02/13 Vyktor AMPS 328

Some days are just too exciting. I'm glad yesterday's episodes had happy endings. I hope Vyktor comes down slowly and safely and I hope the falcon has moved on to other hunting grounds. Hop safely Meg.

Re: 02/13 Vyktor AMPS 328

Can you rig some kind of enclosure for Meg outside, like a chicken coop? or a scarecrow? My heart starts pounding whenever I think about that falcon, too.

Break the bounce quickly for your mum, Vyktor sweetheart. It makes her happy.

Re: 02/13 Vyktor AMPS 328

Wow what a great day for Vyktor!!! It's so wonderful to see him mixing in those green numbers with bounces but coming back down. You rock Vyktor!! And of course, you, too, dear Serryn.

OMG...MEG!!! I hope there is a way to keep her safe. A hawk got our neighbor's 13 lb dog....it was horrible..they were right there. Does Meg have a hutch or something?

Thanks for checking in on Gracie and Mike every day and giving them lots of moral support. (((Serryn!!)))).

And thanks for helping newbies at night!

Just calling Mr Liver to tell him to relax. Vyktor and his bean have everything under control! ;-)

Re: 02/13 Vyktor AMPS 328

That pic from anne so cute! :-D Oh poor Meg, glad she is okay. I can imagine the heart pounding. Vyktor, come down nice and safe. Havee a nice evening Serryn, and thanks for always checking on Mags.

Re: 02/13 Vyktor AMPS 328

Hi Serryn,
Thank goodness the falcon didn't harm Meg! Maybe you should get some dove decoys, or routinely keep putting out food pellets.

Vyktor had a really good cycle yesterday and maybe he'll clear this bounce soon. Come on Vyktor!!

Enjoy your day,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 02/13 Vyktor AMPS 328 +6 295 PMPS 268

When Meg goes out she likes to eat the garden, but the really great bit for her is that she gets to run and dance and bink around like a little cyclone (she can't do that inside with the slippery floorboards) so unless I enclose the whole yard (which would also keep out the 'nice' birds) she wouldn't be able to do that. I always stay out to supervise her when she's in the yard, but (stupid stupid stupid) if I'm not doing yard chores I usually sit on the patio which is undercover so the bird (I am now suspicious that one was a hawk of some variety, it had a pale brown/orange back which is not like the falcon that I see sometimes) wouldn't have realised I was there until I came thundering up behind it to scare it away from Meg. Also I used to get some warning a prey bird was around because all the doves would suddenly vanish, no doves to vanish now  I did think about continuing to feed them but I would feel too evil doing it for that purpose  My new plan is to make sure I'm out where I can be seen while Meg's out and about - when she feels like getting out and about again. She hopped out onto the patio this afternoon but she wasn't keen on going any further than that so I brought her grass and mulberry leaves to her instead.

p.s. Vyktor's just fine    better than fine really I was expecting pink tonight so the yellow was a nice surprise.

Ummmm, Vyktor? that is definitely the wrong direction on the +4. The excitement is over, Mr L can stand down!

Glad to hear Meg is all right. that's the reason Tess is now an indoor cat: coyotes, the resident hawks and the occasional great horned owl.

Hi guys .. what a sweet run of green for vyktor! Sorry to see he's decided to leave the green floor for now, but I have a strong feeling he'll be back soon .. How scary for both you and Meg! I'm sure glad she's ok, but still, very scary!
