Last Night:

The board went down last night when I got home from work, so I just ended up turning off the computer.

I gave J.D. a 1/4 Pepcid this morning with a piece of steak as a back up. His 1st Breffis was some watery FF with bits of steak on top. He ate all the steak and drank the water, and went to his bed to give himself a good bath. I picked up his bowl with the FF still inside, added some FortiFlora and served it to him in his bed, and he happily cleaned it all up.
Then I had to move a cat carrier. J.D. has been hiding in the basement ever since

Ginger is still off her feed, and I have noticed Ginger also drinking a lot more water the past 5 days.

I guess I'll get the test results back today. I hope everything (except the glucose) is as good as last time.

Have a Good Monday. I'm going to try to go comfort and reassure J.D. that he's not going anywhere this morning.

J.D. obviously prefers breffis in bed! I hope you can convince him the carrier is just stuff today, not the harbinger of ill tidings. Poor Ginger still feeling pukey. I hope all the tests results are ok and your kitties are too.

I got J.D. back upstairs and he ate his 2nd Breffis in his bowl where it belongs, and Ginger ate a little bit of FF, too. She ate EVO dry for 1st Breffis. OMG, both kitties are crowdedsnuggled together in the little tiny cat bed
Okay, off to get ready for tbp..

How sweet that they are cuddled together in the cat bed. Oh yes. Moving a cat carrier in our house causes instant panic. They know that closet and that sound way too well.

Paws crossed you get good results back on Ginger today. Have a great day Dyana!

Hi guys .. awww poor J.D. .. scared of the kitty carrier .. our girls are too .. we just had ours out of the closet last weekend and the entire weekend twix kept hissing at mocha .. Have a great day guys!

J.D. was extra scared of the carrier this morning, because Saturday morning, he went to the vet for bloodwork, and on Sunday morning he came with me to work.

I got the phone call from my vet this morning that all of J.D.'s bloodwork is fine. Bun, Creatine, thyroid, liver, all good. Throwing up must be from sugar and diabetes, or something like that.
I had mentioned to him about my concerns with these freeze dried chicken livers made in China that I bought last week, and he had mentioned that I could buy chicken livers from the grocery store and just cook them.
Today, I asked him how to cook them, and he said to bake them. Does that sound right? I would think they would be boiled.

Anyway, I'm happy with the news. Hopefully, my kitties will stop throwing up now.

More when I get home.

As gross as it may be for us, kitties like the chicken liver raw. Good to hear the bloodwork was all OK :-D

ETA: they like chicken gizzards too.

Re: 02/13 J.D. PMPS 363 Test Results - Where's the T4?

H Test Results
Glucose:
339 at 8:30am on Saturday.
346 on IDEXX report (test was drawn around 9:40am).
348 at 10:05am once we got home.
So, my glucometer is right on, again.

BUN: range 15-34 mg/dL
38 on February 11th 2012 H
32 on November 26th 2011
37 on June 4th 2011 H
39 on January 11th 2011 H
My vet says the BUN results are from the high protein diet and nothing to worry about.

A/G RATIO: range 0.4 - 0.8
0.9 H
this has been 0.9 for the past 4 tests

I can not find the T4 results on this paperwork from IDEXX Laboraties that I picked up from the vet tonight after work.
Did they move it? My vet said his thyroid was fine when he talked to me on the phone, but I don't see the test result.
