I am not a lab-reader either but I did open your file and noticed it's just the odd pages? looks like maybe just the fronts were scanned?

Any chance you could transpose the data from the PDF to the Labs tab on the spreadsheet? I like keeping lab data there as it easily lets me see trends too.

Pages 2 and 4 are missing for me too. Most importantly, the Chem panel and kidney data. I'd like to see the T4 result too.

Did the vet say why they wanted a fructosamine (totally not necessary) or the UCPR? His urine protein is only trace and we waited until 3+ to get a UPCR for Neko. I could see it at 2+, but not trace. His specific gravity (USG) was a little low. What time of day did he get the urine taken? First one of the day is usually more concentrated.

That's strange...I'm going to ask about that. Are they leaving out information? I was told that Eddie is in good shape...
Well, yes they are leaving out information....all the even pages...in particular, kidney and liver values. again, I'm no lab reader but if you get the attention of one, they'll be looking for those values :bighug:

He must have had protein in his urine if the vet wants to do the urine protein creatinine ratio test.
Fructosamine is a waste of money. It will tell you a two week average of Eddie’s BG. You should already have plenty of data on what Eddie’s BG has been doing. Fructosamine is useful in diagnosing diabetes and after that it’s a waste of money if you are doing regular testing.

What does everyone else see when they look?
Labs are in "Canadian" so different measurements than you are used to, but I only see pages 1 (hematology) and tail end of chemistry and urinalysis and summary. A culture also done and negative, and probably an extra cost item not required as nothing seem in urinalysis.

Okay yes. I see the pages now. I sure would like to see the missing pages! USG is kind of low.
I would not worry about the red blood cell count right now as the hematocrit overall is very good.

Funny, the results that I see in the CBC portion of this are almost identical to my cat Ginger’s - she just had labs last week. Nothing to worry about right now. But I would like to see the Chemistry panel.

With a trace of protein according to my vet did not need to do a follow up test. He does appear to possibly be a little anemic which the vet also caught. The USG is low. Was he dehydrated? My vet also never based anything on one set of labs.

@Bandit's Mom
Hi Bhooma, while there's a lot in the thread today currently I just have to keep an eye out tonight for Eddie:

PMPS 270
@ +2 140
So, a significant drop, wouldn't you say?
I gave large TBSP LC
I guess it's a +3.
We returned to 8u tonight after 10 cycles.

@Wendy&Neko if you are still up & @FrostD

Almost 2a, so I am about to hit the bed. Yes, +3. Hopefully some greens but I suspect you'll get a bounce after whatever happens tonight. I might have considered 2tsp MC but let's see what he does!

Thanks, Melissa, have a good sleep! I can always do the MC @ +3...
