She’s doing well for the most part. Decisions need to be made soon on X-rays & scope versus CTScan of her sinus tract. X-rays of her hips/back. I felt her numbers have been a little wonky the last few days, like mini bounces a few times, is that possible?

I am waiting on a culture they took to see if she has become resistant to most or all antibiotics. I already have the estimate for skull X-rays with endoscopy, possible biopsy. I am seeing a new vet that I can go in with her. Very important to me and why after 7 years I’m thinking of permanently changing to. Or, do I want her to have a CT scan? This vet does not do that. I would have to find a specialist or see if her old vet could schedule one for me. It was recently discussed. As far as her joints etc, she walks favoring her rear right leg at times. She walks very slow as if in pain. She will not walk for any doctor so I have a few videos to show them. She can still run. I know the sinus tract is our priority.
 
If arthritis adequan could be tried. It is very possible a different antibiotic is need for the sinus issue. Maybe it’s a fungus? Was it ever cultured before? It could be as simple as the wrong antibiotic. Hope so.

That would be the best outcome. I was taking Dolly to the vet at least once a month for more than a year, trying different meds. Culture was never brought up. Since her doctor passed away I have never been totally satisfied with the other vets. It’s an all feline vet and I felt they were the best. I was there with Dolly so often they joked I should work there. I was so frustrated. Tons of chest X-rays, meds, bloodwork, I know they thought I was crazy. With Covid everything became even worse. Anyway, if there is an antibiotic that she has not become resistant to and if there are miracles, could clear her sinuses :joyful: This is why I haven’t scheduled any other tests. They took the culture last Sunday. Spoke with the vet and he said something is growing but it takes time.

Dolly has Pseudomonas, a very difficult bacterial infection to treat. The best med is injections but very hard on the kidneys. He’s having the next best one compounded to a liquid, can’t pill her. This may be that miracle. All these years and the vet never mentioned doing a culture :(, I probably should have thought of it. She’s also had many nasal flushes for relief but stopped helping. I thought I was doing everything but obviously not. My husband had this twice with pneumonia. For now, no X-rays or ct scan. :joyful::joyful: If this helps :cat::cat:

She could have polyps or even cancer of the sinus tract. Just hope now we don’t have to go there. I feel so awful. So many vet visits, so many test, X-rays of her sinus tract years ago. I just kept going to the vet hoping they would come up with a solution. So many thousands of dollars, so little results except for a few meds that worked for awhile. . So much suffering for Dolly. The one good thing for us and Covid it got us to a new vet. Thanks Elise.

Cancer crossed my mind too but with a resistant bacteria found you probably have found the cause. It was like,y never treated with the right antibiotic so changed to a different bacteria.

I have to admit when Dolly has numbers like today, this actually may be a first with both Pre-shots green, I am so disappointed when she gets a blue, even if its 100. A green 99 is fine :rolleyes:. Did you see we have a diagnosis for her sinus problems? I am trying to stay positive and hope antibiotics make her feel better and they work in getting rid of her infection. It’s not an easy infection to treat or cure. My husband had it two different times when he was in the hospital for pneumonia. There still could be polyps or even cancer but we won’t go there for now.
