Hi Carla, I just went back to yesterday to see what transpired with Simba's visit and I am so very sorry that the vet gave you the news he did. I will say a prayer that it is just inflammation. How he she doing?

Bummer about the FS. Maybe you'll get lucky and most got into her. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

She seems to be doing okay, but I can't tell if she ate much last night and I can't get her to eat anything this morning. I wish I didn't have to go to work. Baby is growling at her and she keeps wanting to hide. I'm surprised Baby is still growling. I expect when they first come home from the vet the other cats think they smell funny, but it usually doesn't last this long. I normally try to schedule any dentals for Friday so I can watch the cat the next day, but since it is dental month all the Friday's were booked. Thanks for asking.

My Sug used to do that to Bubba when he would return from the vets. At first I didn't know what to make of it until someone explained the smell thing to me. Can you isolate Simba somewhere quiet from the rest of the gang?
 
Hope Furball and Baby settle in about Simba’s post vet day and lion cut. And that Simba begins to feel better today, too. I remember when I brought GA civie Bo home from having a lion cut, it was quite startling for an old Maine coon to be shorn in such a way. Dancer, whose eyes evoke perpetual wide-eyed wonderment, was very puzzled by it all and stared and stared at him until she realized he was the same Bo, just kinda naked.

And I hope Furball hangs steady with some blues for you today, too. Try not to worry too much while at work (easier said than done, I know...). You’re a super bean for your entire tribe.:bighug::bighug:

Hoping for nothing but good news for Simba! :bighug: I think the lion cut can do it. Our Toki has been freaked out at Halloween costumes before, like she doesn't realize it's us. That could be it, especially in combination with the vet smell. Maybe they think you pulled a fast one and switched their Simba for an imposter cat? :joyful:

Carla, I am thrilled for you that it’s FRIDAY :):):):):):) Prayers and hugs going out to you and all your fur babies . Elmo is hyper sensitive to smells and anything different ..doesnt take much to mess with his furry nest :rolleyes:

I hope Furball gives me better numbers this weekend so I can see what she is doing on this dose. Things are a little calmer with Simba this evening. Baby is not growling any more, but she is still hissing. Simba is not as scared and not hiding. Simba seems to be feeling pretty good. She ate a little bit today. I'm hoping her appy will get better as her mouth heals. Thanks everyone for the prayers and good wishes.

Hi Carla! Healing vines for your Simba:bighug:. My girls just had their dentals too...not because of dental month, it was just due. Ivy is down to her four front long teeth, she lost her last back two. Shira kept all hers. I've been brushing every day! I remember fur shots:blackeye:. I hope Furball will show you her sliding skills this weekend. Hugs to you and all types of needed vines to all of your household:bighug::bighug:
