Hello dear FDMB members, hope everyone is doing good :)

We are here and there on the forum to follow up on our kitty friends and we get to follow new kitties progress as well but today we are here for our own not very joyous reasons: we have noticed some higher BG values in the past period, at first it seemed to be just some glitch but today Chico's BG seems to be out of whack :( We understand these are not high values but they way higher then anything he has been showing last 9 months, to us it seems like he might be falling out of remission.

He is acting fine, plying, purring, eating. No changes in the house (except some higher stress level last couple of weeks). We are supposed to go to the vet for the past 2 weeks but we had some other issues showing up and we couldn't yet but we will go tomorrow to find out if there are some other reasons for the higher BG.

Can someone with more experience please tell us how long should we wait until we decide to restart insulin?

Let’s see what the vet visit says. Get the vet to check his mouth and do bloodwork. He did get to green today, so I wouldn’t worry until he’s consistently just higher blues. I wouldn’t worry about one bad day.
 
Thank you Wendy for your reassuring reply, unfortunately we had a similar situation last week but it was followed by 2 green numbers so we thought that the crisis was averted :( for the past 9 months he was consistent in the 80-90s, we always knew the reason for higher values: travel, vet visit, some food accident… but these last 2 times there was no reason for them…
we will wait for the vet results and will reassess the situation in a couple more days, we really hope its nothing and he will go back to normal:nailbiting:

Not very probable with the human food, usually i hear him when he is trying to do some activities in the kitchen, and there hasn’t been any “abnormal” activity lately except for that stolen bun over a month ago :(
