02/05 Bubba AMPS 391; +7.5 371; +9.5 434; PMPS 448; +4 450

Is he still sensitive to touch? Paws crossed this bounces leaves soon.

When I pick him up, he doesn't seem to fuss or grumble vocally; he did whine a little bit the last few weeks when I picked him up from the counter after his insulin, meds, etc. When I pick him up off the floor, he doesn't seem to mind.

I hope I start to see yellows and blues soon... he's back up to 24.1mmol/L at +9.5. what a riggamarole LOL. literally taking one day at at time with this boy.
I wonder if maybe 3.25U was the "magic dose"? since I've only seen pinks and reds with 3.5U???

Nope, the magic dose gives you lots of greens and blues. A couple touchdowns on mid blue doesn't do it. It's actually not unusual for a dose to look worse than the previous one. I saw plenty of that as Neko took her time getting to a good dose. Insulin, as you know, is a hormone and not a drug. You just have to keep increasing until you reach that fitting dose. And spending time in higher numbers as he has, can cause glucose toxicity which is a form of insulin resistance. The solution is to keep increasing to overcome it.

You've also only just completed three cycles in a row at 3.5 units. Some cats don't show what a dose can do until cycle 5 or 6.
