WCR: All is good with Blackie. Just increased her food amount slightly this morning to keep her from dropping any more weight. Not sure if it'll work, but we'll see. I may have to consider giving her a small snack before bedtime, or something if she continues to vomit white foam. Feeding her a bit later in the day has proven to make her #s rise more, though, so this part is still a consideration at this point. However, I have seen her unsheath her nails, and instead of spitting them out, eat them. Yuck, Blackie! Not sure if that's the reason for the white foam or not. Otherwise, she's doing fine. The mysteries of a kitty.

oh wow on the claw sheath,. One of my civvies used to do that too. Funny the things that they do.

Feeding later in the cycle seems to help Zener avoid those foamy pukes, even some freeze-dried chicken works, just to have something in his tummy. Time to surf, Blackie!

Hi Angela,
A snack at bedtime is what we give Rusty (actually he gets a snack AND a full nighttime meal to graze on overnight). Maybe you should try a snack and see how Blackie does.
Eating her nail sheaths?? Maybe she has a calcium deficiency :lol:

I've learned in the past with feeding Blackie later in the cycles that it raises her #s, hence she's only getting 4 meals a day... PS and +1. I have decided to increase her food at both times just a tiny bit beginning this morning to hopefully maintain her weight since I've seen it drop a bit in the past few days.

Thank you for the suggestions, though.

That was a nice surf for Blackie today! Keep it there Blackie, and surf till PMPS. Then you can go hang out in the lagoon again :mrgreen: Have a nice evening, Angela!
