02/02 Casper AMPS 209, +3 151, +5 397, PMPS 513, +3 505

Good morning everyone,

Sorry for being quite late on the new condo today. After stopping the kidney support food, Casper's BG has been dropped with a 0.5U dose. This morning AMPS is at 209. Gave him 0.5U as scheduled.

Yup! So glad you found the issue, thought he still has some infections somewhere that we do not know.
Until I could find a good balance of food for him, may I start to add phos-bind to his food just to keep the phosphorus number in the range?

I’d hold off on the binder for a little while until it’s determined f once the infection is gone he stays stable without it. The earliest it’s recommended is at 5.0 and as I recall he is at 5.2. I guess you could try a very small amount and see how he does. It would need to be added to the food every time he’s fed as it binds with the phosphorus in the food. You might want to ask Rheka or Maureen.

+3 still remains high in the 500s. He's been eating and drinking well by himself until I added supplements. Not sure what's the reason with all high BG now, will test him tomorrow morning. Night!
