02/02/2026 Felix dose help

I’m probably a bit late and not as experienced but I wonder if Felix is bouncing and will soon come down from this high. Bounces can last up to 6 cycles and you definitely don’t want to increase on a bounce clearing cycle, as those can have a lot of downward momentum.

I see you held the dose. I think that was the safest move. Come down, Felix 🤗 back to those nice greens!

I think you could call this a failed reduction. See how the numbers have just continued to go higher and higher? Generally, if it's a bounce, they go up quickly, but by the 3rd or 4th cycle, they are starting to come back down (with the hope that they can return to those normal greens, just on a smaller dose). If there's no big surprise in the morning and he's still in 300's or higher, I think you could go back to 1.25.

Others may have different opinions.

Thank you! Sorry for late replay. After 1 am test I went to bed. And yes, I have notice the way numbers go up and up and I thought it was different from bounce. I will see this morning AMPS what the result will be. But by the way he was peeing and eating a lot I expect something over 400. So I will follow your advice and go back to 1.25. I do have another question. Do you think next time, if Felix go down to 40's but not below, should I stick with the same dose and take a reduction only if results are under 40?

He's a newly diagnosed cat (under 1 year) so we usually take the reductions when they drop below 50 UNLESS they have a history of failed reductions.....but although Felix has failed a couple of times, he's also held them for a decent amount of time, so I wouldn't consider him to have a "history of failed reductions". I'd continue to take them if he drops below 50 (at least for now).

A little bit of surprise! AMPS 273. So I will give 1 u this morning and see how is going today!

Ok. I was wondering what "newly diagnosed " supposed to to be. And now I got it! Thank you for clarifying this for me. 273 bg AMPS so I will give 1 u this morning
