Good Afternoon,

Yesterday viewtopic.php?f=9&t=35621

The results for Whiskers C&S was negative, so an infection is not the cause of her urinating outside the box. We go back to the U of M on thursday February 3rd, to do an electrolyte blood panel and an abdominal untrasound.

Our weekend went well. We are still admistering Mometomax to both ears. She slept on the bed for several hours and purrs more often now.

Have a good day.

I agree yay for negative results. At least you can rule this out. Good luck on the 3rd. Keeping you two in our thoughts and hope you get answers. Glad she is purring more.

Re: 01/31 Whiskers AMPS 245 Results of C&S negative

Well, good news that it came back negative! Now you can hopefully start narrowing down the issue and possibly resolve it! Do you know why they want to do an u/s?

Glad to hear Whiskers is feeling better. Purring is sooo nice! cat_pet_icon I wonder if any of her electrolytes are getting back in balance. That would certainly help her feel better.

Super job on getting the +3 last night. As you start shooting lower numbers, would it be possible for you to get regular "out the door" tests before leaving for work? (Im not trying to pick on you...promise! ;-) )

I was thinking about ya today and wondering...do you leave food out for Whiskers when you are at work? I know you have a full house, and suspect it would be hard to make sure she got the food. If you dont already have a plan for that, it might be a good idea to start thinking about it and asking others with multi pet households how they manage it. Whiskers will need access to food thru the day as you see her numbers get lower.

I hope you survived the snow today! I bet your commute is much smoother with the off hours you work. Lucky bee!

Re: 01/31 Whiskers AMPS 245 Results of C&S negative

Hi everyone,

I do not leave food out, as you said with all the pets it's hard to know who will get it. Whiskers eats everything in site. We have to be the food police otherwise she'll push Timmy away and eat all his food to....Oh oh her she come to get at Tim's food.

I am concerned about what to do with food as her numbers get lower. It is a good idea to ask others what they do with multi pet homes. I'll post it in the subject line soon.

The vet did not say specifically why the U/S, he does talk very fast, and I do remember him saying tumor...I think it is to eliminate such possibilities, and we still have the LB issues, and the electrolyte imbalance, so trying to elimate possiblities for those issues as well.

Have a good night  .

Glad to hear no UTI. We'll all be interested to hear what they say about the electrolyte imbalance, etc. Good night!
