Good morning,

Missy had a great night. She surfed blue all night :cool: no drastic dives..just nicely dropped over the evening. Her NADIR was at +8 last night and not +6. How often does that happen and the NADIR changes? Like I've said just when I think I'm starting to figure her out she does something different.o_O

I am assuming I will see some green today.... going to do my best to remain nice and calm:D. I haven't seen green a lot but I know she needs to green to get better. I am hoping a few of you guys will be around today if I need any advice.

Very nice cycle last night but you could have gone to sleep at +7. She’s starting to get used to normal numbers and you will need to as well. Don’t panic. Just pist here for reassurance if needed. You both are doing great!
 
I just want to prepare myself here seeing I am not used to seeing alot green....and she has a tendency to dive quite quickly. I am also not used to shooting in the blue. I know now not to reach for MC "after" +4 or +5 unless she falls below 70 or 80 but what should be my course of action be if she drops below 70 or 80 at +2 or +3? Do I give her MC and if yes how much? Just want to be prepared in case I cannot reach anyone on the board later on.

She could come back down when she onsets. I would be certain to get a +2 test and that will tell you if she has some more activity planned or she’s going to bounce. If she’s down to 70 or 80 at +2, that’s a big drop so you might want to try some higher LC like 10% depending on how carb sensitive she is.
 
I wonder if you will have a repeat of the AM cycle of 1/25 which also followed by cycle of flat blues. You might want to give her a spoon or two of MC at +2 if she looks like she's heading towards double digits then.
 
Ok got it. I will be prepared for that. I was also looking back and noticed 1/25 could look a lot like today.

Just a quick question... when you say a spoonful. Would you say that’s a teaspoon or tablespoon?
 
A teaspoon to begin with. You might have to feed her a little every hour to keep her surfing so you don't want to fill her up early on.
You also don't want to carb her up too much.

I got a +1.5 and she is up to 252. In your opinion what do you think her plans are for the day or is it too early to tell?

Also Marje fixed my spreadsheet. I wasn't using it properly. I was entering into the US SS when I should have been using the World SS. That is all figured out now. ONLY THING.... I cannot add anything but numbers to the cells. It will allow me to put in @ +1.5 on the World SS but calculates as an error on the US SS. So I try to alter the US SS and its gives me an error message as well. So I that is why I can only input data on the hourly basis.
Any thoughts on how I can fix this? I do alot of tests in the .25, .5, .75

Just trying to understand what is going on here so I am able to make these decisions on my own one day. Why would I feed LC at this point if she is going high? What will this do? What is your strategy?
 
Could be a bounce. A later test - say +3 - will confirm that.

On the SS front, the only option is to enter the data manually and colour it accordingly. Whenever you have a test that is not at the hour.

You don't have to feed her. I'm assuming that you haven't fed her her full meal at PS and breaking it up into smaller meals. And was also clarifying that you don't need to feed her MC but LC. :-)

Yes. It will show as error on the US sheet since there is a formula there that expects a number in the World tab - whereas there are numbers plus text.

So in the US sheet, you calculate the mg/dl value like you used to and enter it where it says error and fill in the colour according to the value.

Yes this is what I have been doing. I will try it again... :)

I figured it out.... I wasn't erasing the formula "before" I typed in the BG values and @ +1.5 so that is why I kept getting an error.
I have it working now. Thank you!!!
 
This is just a bounce and it's totally normal. Always a good idea to keep checking for ketones, though - given her history.

I also wonder whether a dose increase is needed. Maybe give it a couple of more days since that fur shot would have disrupted the depot. We also don't know how low she is going on this dose without MC/HC intervention.

Missy enjoyed her day of less pokes and so did I :joyful:
She had a bounce day but seemed pretty stable...

PMPS was 297... I will check her at +1.5 and see where she is headed tonight.
 
Glad you took a break from pokes. You might want to get a later test tonight rather than the +1.5. Maybe a +3. Since you are starting higher.
