Well, not doing as well as yesterday but, we are still hopeful! Things seemed to go downhill yesterday evening. His PMPS was 335 and his pm +5 was 423.
I will test again today at +9, as that was his lowest yesterday.

He's looking pretty flat at the moment, but if you want to see whether he's coming down a little before PMPS you could try a +10 today. Sometimes they just stay flat through to next shot.

He's not used to yellows, might be bouncing a bit. If you don't see any low yellows by tomorrow morning, I think you'll be OK to bump him up to 6 units. This is a fast track and for any lurkers, custom for Jennifer and Winston only. Most cats need similar amounts of Lev as they did Lantus, and 7 units Lantus was not enough for Winston. We reduce in case a cat has a strong reaction, but you should know if that's going to happen by tomorrow morning.

Ok, sounds like a good plan! He was 355 at +10 and his PMPS was 380.

Well...I have learned that sometimes the threat of an increase can shake things up a bit, especially if it comes from Wendy .

For a little while after I switched, Mav kept hanging around 337 (18.7 for those of us who follow the metric). I thought my meter was broken lol.

Hi Sandy! I will be getting that testing done soon!
Winston is around 10, we think. We got him from the SPCA as an adult cat. They were not sure of his age, but estimated him to be about 3. We have had him for at least 7 years.
I had had another diabetic kitty in the past, so I knew the signs. Winston was drinking excessively, losing weight, hungry all the time and his coat was looking scruffy. It was confirmed by the vet.
