Good morning!
AMPS 200 shooting 1.75u
I think Boomer may have gone lower 2 nights ago and this is his version of a bounce. I'm hoping so. Will see what happens today/tonight.

I am continuing with my foods experiment so he gets an additional meal at +3 and less food at +6 and +9 and the +6 and +9 consist mostly of chicken pieces. Last night he did call us a couple of times at +6 (2:00). DH was up at the time but didn't speak to Boomer or go into the kitchen. Boomer stopped on his own and came back to the bedroom. But at 5:00 he called us and was relentless. I got up, told him to finish his fuds, and went btb. And he continued to call us. I gave up after a total of 15 minutes and gave him a tsp of chicken pate. If these blue numbers (well this morning's number is blue on the world page, yellow on the US) are a result of a bounce then I'll have to wait until it clears before I can see whether it helps his AMPS. It is allowing me a bit more sleep but if it's not helping his AMPS then I will try a higher carb (4%) food at +9.

I've totally lost track of which images I've posted here so hopefully this one isn't a repeat. This squirrel had something large in its mouth and was in a rush to get to its nest....it was going so fast that its hind legs didn't even touch the tree! And it turned out it was just a bunch of leaves in its mouth!

I used to be a wildlife Rehabilitator through the Ohio Division of Wildlife. My specialty was squirrels!

+3 173
Well at least he came down a bit at +3 unlike yesterday :rolleyes:
ETA: And he didn't want much of his extra +3 meal.

Boomer, got to let the Beans sleep!

Judy, that photo is awesome! What an action shot! My guess is he had a acorn or something in the midst of those leaves or he is a real vegan!

My son raised a baby squirrel that he found in the middle of a busy street. He stopped his car and got out and picked it up and put it on the side of the road. He climbed up my son's leg and onto his chest and was adamant about staying with him. My son again put him down on the ground and he (Stinky) repeated it. So, he took it home and nursed it with a formula ( it was too young to not have a momma) Eventually, he had to release Stinky to Aark to integrate him back into the wild. ( against the law in PA to keep a wild animal) My son was heartbroken but, had to after Stinky bit the holy stuff out of him while my son was in his cage cleaning it. ( He had built him a huge cage that he could climb a tree limb)

Sorry for the highjack Judy.

They will eat birds and bird eggs
Yeah as I said above, I'm not a big fan because they also eat the bird seed even out of the squirrel-proof feeders. But they can be cute and, as a photographer, sometimes I get desperate enough to shoot squirrels, mallards and Canada Geese

Great action shot! I don't mind that the squirrels eat from our bird feeders. They are hungry, too!

Boomer, I see you're back to your old tricks. Let your beans sleep!! You can eat yer fuds by yourself!

Great picture! ...and that's such a skinny little squirrel, I doubt he has eaten much bird food.

...and nice of Boomer to come back down early in the cycle. Hope that's a sign for better things to come.

I still really think you should try an increase. Your goal, if you are interested at all in trying for remission again, is for Boomer to be spending the majority of his time in normal green numbers. Yellow has no place in such a plan. Sorry to be a nag.:bighug:

Thanks Wendy! I have been thinking about it but his nighttime numbers were so nice! Even though he started in blue, he was in a nice green by +3. Waiting to see what happens over the next couple of days; I certainly didn't like the numbers yesterday!

Having trouble getting Boomer to eat his fuds today. It appears he thinks all cat food should come liberally mixed with chicken pieces. I started the chicken in an effort to lower his BG. So far I don't think it's helped and unfortunately now he won't eat anything else. Looks like we may have to withdraw the chicken "cold turkey" haha pun intended.
