Just the heads up...I am hanging by a thread.
I am close to give up.
I know that you are all trying to help and I am extremely appreciative. However I have a lot on my plate right now.
The reason why I didn't reduce this morning after last night's low: I forgot to do it. This morning at 5 AM I was foggy and tired and made a mistake. I went on autopilot and drew 1.25U. When I read this post, I realized the dumb mistake

. Last night I went to bed late because he was low and getting up 5, 6 hours later is not enough sleep. I have been doing this since August 15th. I am nearing my breaking point I guess. I will reduce tonight.
Yes I am using Abbot human strips with the Alphatrak. I have the tester set to cat reading and use the human strips because they are cheaper. I am close to finishing the coverage for Blaze (it replenishes on June 28th) and I want to keep some money in case of an ER emergency. I live on 1 income, I am a single woman keeping up with all my expenses on my own.
Sometimes I don't test at +3 on the weekend or at night. I know it does help but sometimes I don't, because I fall asleep. In the weekend I get up at 5 AM, do the routine, go back to bed at 5:30 and try to sleep. I set the alarm at 7:10 to get a +2 but sometimes I just can't get up. I am exhausted. Sometimes at night, I don't get a +3 because I fall asleep on the couch. I try to set alarms and most of the times I manage but I am reaching my breaking point.
I will use my human meter starting tonight for a couple of weeks. I just need to update the spreadsheet, not sure how to do that if anyone can help.
During the day I don't test because I work. I leave my house at 7:30 am and I come at 4 pm.
Sorry about venting. I am having a really tough day at school too today. Everyone around is getting covid and I am trying to stay healthy on top of it all.
I will use the human meter tonight. I have a new box of strips. It is the OneTouch.
Sorry everyone
