Re: 01/26 Whiskers AMPS 354

We are back home. The lab work included Blood work, and C & S. They will notify us when the results are available.

I discussed our concerns about the increase of .5 units insulin for a total of 2.5 units for Whiskers. We were told that the Dr. believes Whiskers DB to be only moderatly controlled. We discussed that there were no adverse responces to the increase in the last 24 hours. No hypo. The Dr. we saw is an internal medicine vet and is one of the most highly respected in the nation. We feel very lucky to be one of his patients.

Whiskers health and well being is our top concern, even more than many can imagine, due to extreme circustances (if you are familiar with our story) that brought Whiskers to our care. She is a member of our family, and we will provide the very best for her. Her quality of life is also top priority.

We truely thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts, and hope to continue learning and gaining knowledge from everyone here.

Have a wonderful day. We will post the lab results as soon as we have them. cat_pet_icon .

Congrats on having a better visit today... I know what a relief that must be for you! I'm so glad you were able to make this happen. Whisker's numbers look very encouraging today... and i'm not just saying that because they look like Willie's numbers tonight... I'm not projecting my hopes... really! LOL

Fingers and paws crossed for quick results and answers for Whiskers!! Hope you're having a great night!

Good Evening everyone,

Thanks for visiting our condo yesterday and today. Whiskers had to yellow BG's today and that is very encouraging, we are crossing our fingers and paws that we may see less pinks and reds someday soon  .

I'm so pooped, the last two days have been really busy. It is nice to be home have the P.J. on, sitting in bed with the laptop catching up on everyone's condos. My neck is sore, neck and shoulders are usually where I hold my stress. Anyway it is nice to be home.....Pause....ok I'm back, just went to get a warm neck wrap (feels great) and an ibuprofen. Anyway enough about me.

Everyone has been feed and medicated. Miss Witty has had to start on the Mometomax for her ear infection tonight. The vet and U at our regular vet agreed we needed to try it because after 10 days of another milder hydrocortosine she still had yeast and baceria in both ears. As with the Zymox hc the mometomax may elevate her BG. Fingers and Paws crossed please, that it will be effective with no long term side effects.

All the pets had rescue remedy today which I love (I think it smells like chocolate), but there was just a big hissy fit a few minutes ago. Baby steps    .

Whiskers has been on 2.5 units of lantus for the last day and a half. She seems calmer, not so frantic for food. I think that is really encouraging and will take it as a good sign  .

I want to thank everyone again for all the well wishes. If I haven't had a chance to reach out to everyones condo, I'll will get caught up soon.

Take care and have a great night dancing_cat .

I too love Rescue Remedy. I use it for traveling with my cats.
You are very lucky to get such a top notch doctor for Whiskers. I wish you the best of luck with the dosecrease and with clearing up that ear infection. Have a good night.
