Good morning, everyone! ~O) ~O)

It's a sludgy morning here. You know, one of those mornings where you really don't want to pry yourself out of bed? The loud old school alarm clock was vetoed by DH after yesterday morning's shenanigans (go figure!), so we're back to the vibrating cell phone alarm. It doesn't exactly get my blood pumping but it does give me a leg up with my two little fur-faces. When I come out of the bedroom, they are still dazedly stretching and waking up. This gives me a minute to get coffee started before the Meow Chorus begins. Or course, I just spilled my coffee which added 15 minutes of mop-up to my morning.. ugh. See? Sludgy morning.

Chaos is still in the flat yellows for about the 10th cycle in a row. Patience is a virtue. He's being a good boy for his tests, though I know he doesn't like them. He stays so still except for his tail. It starts twitching when his ear warms up and he knows we're getting close to the poke...but it's so funny! The tail whips, but the rest of him stays perfectly still as if he's thinking "I must not try to get away from mama bean because the terrible thing she's doing must be important, or she wouldn't be doing it." I honestly think he made a conscious decision to trust me somewhere along the line, or this would not be going so smoothly. Smart boy. cat_pet_icon

Today's task is a cat-approved outing: buy more cat food!

Good morning guys ... still flat yellow huh chaos? You must be planning something really exciting before to long ... have a great day guys!

Re: 01/26 Chaos AMPS 265

slushyness, spilt coffee, sounds like a less than perfect morning.
Hope your day improves and Chaos' numbers too.

Re: 01/26 Chaos AMPS 265

Hi Violet & Chaos,

Wonderful way to start the day! But at least the cat-food shopping will be productive. I hope that the flat yellow will signify a downward motion soon. Amazing how still Chaos stays for his test. Rusty is a squirmer and it takes 2 of us to keep him in position initially; then he calms down really nicely.
Hope your day improves!!

Re: 01/26 Chaos AMPS 265

Spreadsheet alert: Did you forget to include the dose you shot last night?

And why wouldn't Chaos trust you? Especially if he gets treats for being such a good boy.

As for cat food, I believe in delivery!! (PetFood Direct costs less than store prices, often runs sales, and delivers!)

Re: 01/26 Chaos AMPS 265

Good eye, Sienne. Spreadsheet is fixed now  Thanks for the alert! I'm going to look into petfood direct too, for when I have the time to wait for delivery. I'm a big internet shopper- if I don't have to go get it, I don't. Unfortunately, Chaos is not treat-driven so that doesn't work for tests, but I try to time them with his mini-meals or give him just a smidge of food after a test. He'd rather have food than chicken crack!

I hope Devon's right and Chaos is planning something exciting, like a trip to the blue or green floors. We just played a nice game of Laser Dot. I'll have to get that on video sometime; it's funny to see such a big kitty fly up the wall like that! He seems to have lost a teensy bit of weight since the diet switch, which is a good thing since he's sort of chubby. I blame the kibble. ;-)

Re: 01/26 Chaos AMPS 265

 on the tail...i'm so used to the wagging little bob-tail, i tend to get irritated by the long-tails flopping around!

Re: 01/26 Chaos AMPS 265, +3 274

I can see where you'd get used to not having the tail in the way, Celi! Chaos has a very long tail, he'd drive you nuts in no time!

Still flat kitty.. hating the yellow steamroller right now. BUT- my microdosing syringes from the hospital have just arrived! Yay!!

Even better with this +3 test, he didn't even twitch the tail. What a good kitty!

Playing red dot sounds like fun Do Lou used to love that when he could see it sad... anyway sure hope Chaos starts to show you some blues soon have fun cat food shopping

Same old thing this PM, eh? I haven't done any +9s the last two days because I knew he wasn't going diving or anything, so at least that's saved his ears some. I had a wonderful time cat food shopping...lol... I'm easily amused. I've been feeding a mix of different brands, all LC of course, for both economic and variety reasons. So far everything's been well liked by both cats. Tonight I'm trying Sophistacat out on them. No complaints.

I'll do a +3.5 or +4, whatever I can remain awake for, and we'll see if we're still mello yellow.

I haven't had much time to visit condos today, but I hope to get to stop in and say hi to everyone tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a peaceful Wednesday night with their furbabies.

I think mellow yellow is suiting him much more than his name lately. Definitely no drama with his numbers lol.

Not a bad PMPS though - closer to blue.

Another day of yellow for Chaos... hoping it turns to blues and greens soon! I'm a weirdo, but I actually miss shopping for cat food! With Willie living in a poultry-free zone for the next few months, my choices are pretty much non-existent...and cat food shopping has just become a giant exercise in frustration. For low-carb, evo is pretty much our only option unless we want to go with fish, which dr. lisa has recommended we also avoid (for both health reasons, and apparently, it is easy for cats to develop allergies to fish based food as well!). Living vicariously through you! :)

Hope your slushies melt away soon... we're looking at a few days in the 40s, so hoping our 8+ inches of snow will finally melt soon... or at least the stuff in the street making parking difficult!

Hope you're having a good night!

what a nice day for Chaos. Mellow yellow, and why not. Could be he is planning some blues and greens for later on. I really need to look into PetFood Direct. Love the internet stuff, hate the stores...

This is so great! Mannie is the same.
