Good morning!
AMPS 149 shooting 1.75u
Well that AMPS is disappointing; was really hoping for something lower
Long post warning! But I like to document the results here for future reference because my memory sucks!
So last night I experimented. PMPS was 104 YAY. Fed same PMPS meal. Fed same +3 meal. Then after he finished his +3 I gave him another +3 meal of chicken pate 2% with a tiny bit of ff (which is 10% but it really was only a couple of chunks) +6 was a wee bit smaller than usual and consisted of half chicken pate half chicken pieces. And +9 was a wee bit smaller and consisted of mostly chicken pieces with a bit of low carb ff
As expected, he ate the extra dish of food right away. I was awake when his +6 dish turned and it took him a couple of minutes to decide to get down of his bench to eat it. But he did and then he got into his bed and had his bath. No yelling for mommy! BEAN WIN!
At 5:00 he yelled for me. And yelled. And yelled. Then stopped. He was quiet for a few minutes. Then yelled some more. sigh. I got up, checked his dish, told him it was ALL GONE, and went btb. He yelled a couple more times then came back to bed with me and cuddled.
So my experiment was partially successful. Will try it again in this cycle but DH and I may be away during his +6 so he will be able to finish Allen's food if Allen lets him.
He did eat pretty much all his fuds last night. Allen ate very well as well.
It's supposed to be milder today and sunny so we're planning on a walk later this morning. Meanwhile, I am attaching another photo of the Carolina Wren from last weekend. I believe he was calling for his mate (only the male carolina wrens sing).
