So I guess I'm technically late on the day's readings but I've been watching him closely since the reduction and am not really sure what to report on him.
He doesn't seem to do anything long/steady enough for me to say "this is what he's doing." The thing that keeps coming up is funky NADIRs.
On the 23rd and AM 24th he looked like he had turned around. AMPS 104 +6 105 PMPS 99 +6 99 AMPS 125 +7 106
Even on the 25th AMPS he gave me a 127 +5 115.
So he acts like he's going to turn around then gets all weird again. I've been working on multiple and later feedings which seems to reflect well in his PMPS not but sure what to say about the rest. All I can guess from his readings is he starts to hit trend downward at +7 and today anyway start heading up after +3.
Lots of blues and mainly preshot greens and funky NADIRs. So I don't know what to say about him. Input anyone?

Hi Sarah,

Sorry no one got back to you yesterday. Is there anyway you can put something in your spreadsheet to indicate when Jerry is getting meals? I've seen some people put little *'s in the cell where they feed, or put comments in the Remarks field. Without knowing when he's eating, it's hard to say what's happening with the numbers. He does look pretty flat overall.

It may be useful to note feeding times and amounts in a row under the tests. I'm wondering if there is a relationship with what you're seeing.

Typically, you want to feed mostly in the first half of the cycle, when the Lantus is increasing in effect. If you take a look at Sienne and Gabby, she feeds several times in the first half of the cycle.

Another thought is to review the carb content of what you are feeding and see if the carb content can be lowered any further. One option is to mix an additional 20-25% of plain, cooked meat or poultry to the canned food, then portion out the amounts you typically feed. This will reduce the carb content further, as well as reducing the fat content.

A little infobit here: the metabolic and digestive porcess in the cat (and humans) are able to dissassemble fats and proteins to create glucose as needed. That's why cats don't need to eat starches in their diets.

I have changed up some flavors so I probably will look into nutritional info to see if that could be a factor. Hoping to get him down to a good feeding routine and straighten out all the data. Thanks for the help everyone.
