Last Night:
352 PMPS
136 +6.25
115 +7.25
131 +8.25
479 +11.5

J.D. had a near perfect poo again last night (slightly wet, but formed) and then had stinky diarrhea.
I did not see him eat much yesterday, but when I got home from work, all that food that I had left out during the day was pretty much gone, and I really don't think Ginger ate it all. I left out more food when I went to my meeting and it was gone when I got home.
I was dumb and stayed up watching T.V. from that +6.25 to +8.25, so I'm tired again. I was tired already from that long shift I worked two days ago and all the driving in that rough weather. Tomorrow is for sleeping, I hope.
Although, if I can get a vet appointment tomorrow, I wouldn't mind getting J.D. checked out for peace of mind. I gave him some Flagyl at +6.25 in the middle of the night last night, because that's when he had the diarrhea. The Flagyl always seems to work to stop the diarrhea, and the doctor said I could use it "as needed".

J.D. ate a couple of bites of Great Choice Kitten Turkey & Giblets at AMPS, and now at +0.25 just finished about 1/4 can of FF Kitten Turkey Feast with FortiFlora on it.

I am wondering if the syringed MaxCal is giving him the diarrhea, but I won't be able to tell right away, now that I gave him the Flagyl. I am giving the MaxCal to get a few more calories into him and using the syringe feeding as a way of giving him the Ultimate Flora.

J.D. time to head the other direction with your BG, please.

Re: 01/24 J.D. AMPS 600

Come on down JD. We use the flagyl "as needed" as well. I know many have said that it has to build up in the system, but it really does work for us giving it at the first sign of diarrhea and clears it up in one or two pills. Healing vines for JD. ((((Dyana))))

Re: 01/24 J.D. AMPS 600

I hope J.D. brings it down for you today. Overall it sounds like he's feeling better, but I can totally understand wanting to have him checked out - sending good vetty vines if you are able to get him in today!

Re: 01/24 J.D. AMPS 600

Hi guys .. woah J.D., that's a pretty high number to be sitting at don't you think? I'm glad to hear that overall he is feeling better .. A re check up wouldn't hurt though, especially if you could get one later in the day so that sleeping in takes place! have a great weekend!

Re: 01/24 J.D. AMPS 600

J.D., please come down from there for your bean, that is not a nice color to see in the morning ohmygod_smile

I hope you can get the vet appt, even if it's just for peace of mind. It's always nice to know! Sending feel good and healing vines to J.D. I have done the same thing with staying up late to watch TV...and paying for it the next day @-) I hope your Friday goes well, Dyana. TGIF!

Thanks for the vines. He was eating okay when I left this morning.

I was able to weasel my way into a "squeezed in" appointment for tomorrow at 9:15am.

Melissa, do you use only 1 or 2 pills?
I wasn't sure what I was doing and his pill bottle says to give 2 tablets twice per day for a week. The last time I used them, I gave him 2 pills twice a day for 2 days and got permission from the vet to use them "as needed" and stopped that round.
I just wonder why he keeps needing them, and the solid poo and then the wet stinky poo afterwards.

Dyana, I'm so glad you were able to get an appointment scheduled. It's great that JD seems to eating better. Now to just take care of his poo issues. Will be chekcing in to see how the vet appt goes. Sending healing and lower BG vines to JD.

Okay, J.D. you are now headed in the right direction. Just keep that little slide going and come on down a little further, please. Don't look down, you'll get dizzy, you're up so high! Easy does it.

Dyana, I'm no expert, but if you're syringe feeding, I would think that could cause some loose stools. All that extra liquid in the food, seems to me would cause it. I know when my cats eat nothing but baby food, they have very loose stools. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

Hope J.D. is surfing in some better numbers when you get home. Sending good vetty vines for tomorrow.

he sure is a bouncy boy! he'll come down from these high numbers before long, dyana!

sending all our best to the little guy and to you! hope the vet gives you some help. :YMHUG:
