Good morning!
AMPS 245

shooting 2.5F
I guess a bounce and some NDW
Boomer ate most of his overnight food, leaving about a tsp.
He seems to be feeling pretty good lately! He's even been playing a wee bit! Nothing energetic enough to help him lose a bit of weight (which he does need to do) but it's still nice to see him showing an interest in his toys.
Update on the female Common Merganser that is in our river and has a lure through its beak.....I traded several emails with a wildlife rehab centre but because they are out of town they want confirmation that the bird is still there before coming into London to try to rescue it. And since it rained hard here yesterday all day I wasn't able to get there. So my plan is to go this morning. I have a bad feeling though that, because the bird is not hanging out on the edge of the river, they are going to tell me that they have no way of reaching it. I hope I'm wrong.
A few days ago I visited one of my local birding hotspots and found a bunch of finches hanging out.....some were American Goldfinches and some were House Finches. Today's photo is of one of the Goldfinches that decided to play nice and come down from the top of the tree where they were hanging out.
