WCR: All is good with Blackie. Didn't expect this AMPS #, but I'll definitely take it. I've added 1 tsp. of water to her +1 meal, and mixed it. She lapped it all up. Guess I'll be doing that from now on.
Daisy Update: Took her off the Doxycycline last night again. She seems fine for about 24-48 hours when she's first starting the meds, but then afterwards she looks like she's nauseated, and doesn't want to eat. She was laying in bed all day after the morning's dose yesterday, and ate only 53g total of wet food. I couldn't get her to eat until about 9 last night when she ate about 3g of FF food. She's not even interested in the Friskies wet right now. Last night, I left a bowl of water next to her pillow on the floor in case she wanted a sip. Not sure if she drank anything or not. When I woke up at around 4:30 this morning, Last night, and this morning I picked her up and put her in the LB to do her business. She peed. I hadn't seen her go by herself during that time. Afterwards, I gave her about 10g of wet, but she only ate 3g. At the 6:00 a.m. mark when they all get fed, she came trotting out of the bedroom. I was elated!
However, she didn't eat a whole lot.
I know that one of the side affects of the Doxy is lack of urination, as well as nausea, or lack of appetite. I think this is doing more harm then good. I will be calling the vet's office this morning to explain this to them. I need another course of action with this bacterial infection, and I don't want to harm her in the process. I don't want to lose another kitty. NOT for a very long time.

MY WISH: For God to help heal the broken hearts of those who lost a beloved pet and/or human... For God to help those ailing make a full and speedy recovery... For everyone to have great #s... For everyone to be OTJ.
