Good Morning,

Whiskers is at AMPS 400. :? . She was purring before breakfast and insulin. (She is always happy at mealtime). Brought her on our bed, but she didn't want to stay.

We are back to using our relion meter and strips, but have ordered Bayer contour strips off ebay. We got the Bayer contour meter from Lori and Tom in our newbie Kit. The Bayer Strips off ebay are even less that relion, and the Bayer contour meter works really well. We will keep the Relion for our back up.

C'mon down from there, Whiskers! You can do it!

Cheryl, do you have Walgreens? They have Contour USB and Didget meters for $9.99 this week, and each kit has 25 strips inside. 50 strips for $20 that you can pick up locally is a pretty good deal!

Yes we do have a walgreens in our neighborhood. 50 strips for $20 is a good deal. I will check it out. Thank you.

I wish I had seen this before I went 30 miles to WalMart today for strips. I have a Walgreens in our neighborhood, but have never seen bargains on strips and meter. *sigh*

Yes I was very happy to see Whiskers come down to blue. She seems to feel better, at least that's my impression. I'm anxious to see her +6 because that is generally her nadir.

I'm sorry you had to go all the way to Walmart too.

Hello All,

We have two Walgreens in our town. The first one was out of the Bayer contour ubs, but the pharmacist is ordering it for me and it will be in tomorrow. The second walgreens had the Bayer digit so I got that. Yeeeeaaah! Thank you so much Christie and Willie :mrgreen: .

Whiskers came down to +6 168. A very nice blue. I would like to see her come down to green, but we will have to wait. As Sienna and Nicole both pointed out, she is using Zymox hc nightly for ear infection, and it may be elevating her BG.

Our thoughts and Prayers continue to go out to Nicole and her family (baby and Sadi too) o:-)

Miss Witty (Whiskers nickname) would like to know if the full moon party has started yet.

Hello all,

I was just about to do a +9, when Miss Witty jumped up on the couch and laid down by Timmy. She is usually restless, doesn't want to be held or sit by the other pets so I just do not have the heart to interupt her. She is preening, and it make me soooo happy to see it. I take this as a good sign, maybe we are getting closer to the dose she needs. She was very affectionate and playfull until a few months ago (when we started Lantus coincidentaly), so it gives me hope that we are getting closer. :dizcat .

This is great news for Whiskers, and YES, the Full Wolf Moon Party is going great (and Whiskers is there, howling at the moon with all of her new friends).

totally agreed on the "not having the heart to interrupt" when they're finally interacting.

maybe our furkids will all settle into a comfy living situation at the same time...We'll break out a bottle of champagne!

Nice numbers and even better to see some of those "old" behaviors returning!!

FWIW, I use a Contour meter, as well. If you are running low on strips, Hocks prices are decent -- far better than the price you'd pay at Walgreens for strips. The big benefit is that they ship quickly. Their prices are comparable to Amazon. If you use the link to Hocks at the top of the Board, FDMB gets a commission.

Yes she was a happy girl, and we finished the night only 5 points from yellow :mrgreen: .

Thank you Sienna, I will defiantly use hocks for future orders of contour strips. It is so nice that FDMD gets a commision.
