He is my other love Ash. Siamese mix and Blaze's brother.
He is my guard cat, he is Blaze's personal bouncer and security guard as well.
He has a health issue...he was diagnosed with policythemia about 5 years ago. Policythemia is a type of cancer of the bone marrow. It is very rare and more "common" in dogs...but my boy is my special little man and has it. He takes chemo drugs for that and so far, he has responded amazing to the treatment.
Ash has an attitudes, doesn't like anyone that isn't me or his bro. But he is the sweetest boy...to me only lol
He tolerates my bf though which is a bonus! My bf was worried about it because he knows how protective (and aggressive unfortunately) Ash can be but Ash seems to be ok with him.
I am happy about it obviously...my bf is also allergic to cats so I thought this whole thing wouldn't work out at first but it is lol

Wow. What a great cat! What chemo drugs does he take? I am so happy to hear that he’s being helped by this. What an odyssey you must have gone through to get that diagnosis!
 
Yes it was a nightmare and took 3 months...he was having seizures. It was so scary I thought I was gonna lose him. Then after useless vet trips I took him to the ER one night where they figured out the cause. He was there 2 days, he received a full phlebotomy and was put on hydroxiurea. It is a human chemo drug. 3500$ dollars later we came home :)

Update: tonight at 9:25 pm (lots of notice :confused:) our great YRDSB let us know that we are working remotely again from home tomorrow due to the snow cleanup that is still happening.
Don't get me wrong, I am super happy I get to monitor Blaze for 1 more day, but I had everything planned for in person learning...i was just about to go to bed and if a friend didn't text me, I would have not known about this. I am at the laptop again to replan for my day :banghead:
