Yesterday butters was cute and impolite. A reduction was earned. Lessons were learned (by me...Butters doesn't have anything to learn, apparently).

I received firsthand experience with the "high before the low" phenomenon. I should have been far more heavy handed with HC early on in the PM cycle. I'm grateful that I had support on the board when she dropped to 25.

With Butters showing no signs of hypo when low, Grem has always been exactly the same, though semi-recently I noticed there is ONE subtle sign and that's hunger. He's much hungrier than normal when his BG is low.
Butters won't act hungry or look for food, not even subtly. I always tell her she needs to brush up on her self-preservation instincts. They are sorely lacking:rolleyes:.

Have a good day, all.

Afternoon Lyla, I think I would have passed out seeing that 25
She seems to be doing great this morning.
I hope you can catch a nap . Behave Butters
Congrats on the reduction
Have a good day Lyla ♥:bighug::bighug::cat:

I am picturing the Queen with the “what?” “what’s the problem?” look on her face as you were having to manage this situation :p.

Congrats on the reduction & continued wishes for much less dramatic reductions in the future :bighug::bighug:!

OMG! Butters really knows how to do it doesn't she! Don't you wish you'd taken her BG's before she was diagnosed diabetic? I've seen some kitties with really low blood sugar that aren't on insulin - in remission - and sometimes, well, that's just normal! Crazy I know...but beware those 20's...

Glad you caught it in time - before it went any lower...she may have called out for some orange juice or a mint by then...

Have a lovely evening Lyla!

I take some responsibility for only giving her 13% when I saw the 47. She normally zooms up from carbs and last night she didn't. She sank.:(

How did mediation and water go ;)?
:joyful: Oh that's a good one:p. It made me snort laugh.

you got stones, chez butters. :bighug:
I guess it looks that way on the board...but the scene chez butters was me nearly passing out, then panicking as I frantically tried to get syrup in her and sending it flying all over the couch, floor, countertop, her fur and myself in the process. But I'll take the compliment:bighug:.

61@PMPS - Fed MC
68 @+1
61 @+2 - Fed Bison and syrup

Wow Butters, you have style! :D Up a little please. You got your reduction already.
Continuing to earn major style points tonight. She thinks she still has something to prove. I'm anxiously awaiting a bounce and for the 3u depot to be drained.

My prediction is that she is going to come flying down the dosing scale now that she is feeling better :)

Be good Butters!

Just completed her new nighttime routine of standing on the porch with her in her harness while she sniffs fresh air. At least it's not too cold but there is still snow.
The bison and syrup I gave at +2 brought her up nicely. I should be able to set an autofeeder and keep her surfing overnight.
